Great Bit, Great Value!
This unit is well built and is used to make Native American Flutes. it is sharp, well balanced and cuts very well, leaving a nice smooth finish. bearing is free-wheeling and does not drag. This is the second Tideway bit that I have purchased, and will purchase more if needed. High quality item for the price. Highly recommended.

Nice clean cut
I used this to make a 1 1/2" radius corner on Red Oak. Cut through it like a dream. I put sacrificial pieces on the top and bottom to prevent tear-out and took three passes to make the full cut. Came out perfect.

too soon to tell
Seems to perform well. Run at a slow speed on the router table or hand held. I'm using 10,000 rpm. and take multiple passes to achieve a 1-1/2" radius.Only time will tell and some usage as to whether it's a decent bit. I've run it on sapele which is a moderately hard wood but nothing like acaia or ipe.

exactly what I hoped for
i needed a roundover bit to make custom hardwood steam-bent handrails for a spiral stairway. This bit was sized right and priced right. What more could you ask for?

used to make red oak trim
1 1/2 " radius round over bit used to make oak trim for kitchen cabinets. cutter leaves a good finish, works well. Need to run bit at low RPM and don't take heavy cuts. Its all about using the correct material feed and cutter speed. The finish can be a little rough if you cut against the grain. I will update if observations change after significant use.

Smooth Cuts
Bought this to make some 0.75"x0.75" quarter round and the cuts are very smooth. The bit seems solid but we'll see how it lasts over time. So far I've cut ~100 linear foot of oak with no issue taking the whole cut in a full pass.

Perfect for making shallow archs in 1x lumber for trim.
I have some exterior trim around my garage doors and the large curve of this bit will allow me to match the existing pieces. I do not care about long term longevity but if I can do both doors and get the trim for the jambs and headers to match I will be happy man

Cuts Well
Works as expected. Not too sure of the quality of the carbide as I haven't used it much. Total use to date is 44 lineal feet on poplar a semi hardwood

Good product so far.
So far so good, I used it to round the edge of some shelves that I have made and it did a good job on the first pass. There was no skips and gouges, I find that 1/2” shanks have way less vibration than the 1/4” shanks so you get less waviness in the cut. The bit seems sharp enough but nothing like you would get from Lee Valley Tools but then this bit is half the price. If there are any issues with this product then I will update my post.
