4" Magnifying Glass - 3X - Sturdy Black Frame

I bought this item to allow children ages 10-15 to observe coral specimens. I have had these magnifying glasses for 6 months and they are enduring the test of time. The quality of the magnifying glasses is not amazing but it gets the work done. I do not recommend for reading small text as the text gets too blurry due to the lack of quality of the lens. But, if you are wanting to purchase it for a junior scientist that is wanting to magnify dirt, sand, or anything else you have in the house, I highly recommend it.

The lense fell out of the plastic housing after opening the package. Glass has enough weight behind it that one could probably cut a toe.Was able to snap lense back in place. I dab of super glue should hold it in place. It will serve its purpose and a cheap alternative.

Poor quality,yet it is what it is

The actual power is less than advertised. This is nice and large but has only a very slight magnification. It would be good for someone with a very low reading glasses prescription or someone who is on right on the edge of needing reading glasses.

This really is a very cheeply made product. It is glass, but that's really all that can be said for it. Look around, you can find much better for a similar price.

Glass lens has several chips around edges. Shipped in just an envelope no cardboard or plastic protection--for glass! Length is listed 10.8 inches; is less than 7.5 inches! Stubby tiny handle would make it unusable even if lens was not chipped except maybe for a small kid. perhaps should be listed under toys. Picture and description of length is deceptive if not outright fraudulent as it shows a magnifier with handle as long as or longer than 4" width.

Xlnt magnifying glass for reading. Can easily span a full column width of my Bible and then some. Also good for the small print on a computer screen / website that won’t enlarge any other way. A wee bit heavier due to the metal frame around the glass, but that's a must-have, since plastic simply doesn’t hold up if dropped, per my experience x 2. Well packaged. Really appreciated the Prime shipping availability too! Everything good, nothing bad. 5 stars.
