Worth your money!
I bought this device back in 2018 or 2019. I forget but it was a while ago. With the ongoing state of things in the world I've been working full time from home these last few months. I've heavily relied on this adapter that I bought for my personal Macbook Air to use to use on my company issued Thinkpad as well. It's great!Design -I've seen other product with a very similar build and layout which leads me to believe that this could possibly be one of those mass made china ones that are easily rebranded by sub-companies. Either way, it's a really great build. Comes with a nice little pouch to throw it into and travel with. Feels very well made and high quality!A family member of mine bought the other type of USB hub that attaches flush to the Macbook pro and even he said that he prefers my dongle design over his. By having it not as closely attached to the side of the Macbook it makes it less of a hinderance when you're trying to pick up your workstation and move around. He always feels like he might accidentally snap the dongle off leaving the usb c heads inside the ports.Usage -All the ports worked on mine with no issue. I've had 3 whole usb items (mouse, iphone cable, external drive), HDMI, micro sd card, and power cable all plugged into the dongle and operating at the same time before with no issues. However I will note that with that many things the dongle seems to heat up quite a bit. Hasn't caused any problems but it is just a little worrysome. Conclusion -If my current one somehow gets destroyed I'd definitely come straight back here to buy the same one. it really is very useful. I recommend it to anyone shopping around!

Full disclosure: I was offered a small gift card in exchange for leaving a product review. That said, I like to leave reviews anyway, and this just helped me to make one since it's difficult for me to find the time. This is by far the most affordable USB hub with this feature set I could find. All the others go for twice this price. Besides affordability, I really like its small, sleek design and size. It feels and looks very well made and is sturdy (no flex occurs when squeezing it or trying to bend-- it's very sturdy). I am a telecommuter and while I take care of my equipment, it goes through some abuse while on the road, and I have some reassurance that this hub will last. Unlike others I've used, the USB cable is thick. I ultimately prefer versions that have a removable USB attachment so that if the cable wears down and breaks over time, you can just replace the cable and keep using. This one is permanently attached, but seems strong enough to last a good while. Time will tell but so long as I don't twist or bend the cable in a sharp angle too much I don't see why it won't last. All connections make a solid, locking fit. I haven't tried the HDMI adapter yet, but received confirmation from the seller that it is compatible with my laptop (HP ProBook 640 G3). My laptop doesn't have a dedicated HDMI port, and instead relies on the proprietary DisplayPort, which I find annoying since I normally need to carry around a separate DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. My work's conference room only has an HDMI cable to connect to our presenter screen, which is also common for most projectors these days. My laptop does have a dedicated old school VGA port, which is nice to have for older projectors when presenting at different venues, but most these days have HDMI. With this hub I no longer need to have a DisplayPort to HDMI adapter in my bag and I can just use this one to save space. My laptop only has two USB A ports and one USB C port. Most external devices still use USB A connection, and only having two ports is not enough for me. This USB C hub frees up my two USB A ports while adding 3 more.My typical needs for USB ports while travelling are as follows:1) one mini 128GB USB thumb drive plugged into my computer at all times as a regular data backup2) wireless mouse with USB receiver3) phone charging4) headset charging5) external hard drive6) swapping in and out thumb drives between employees7) CF flash card adapter for cameraI don't see myself needing all of these plugged in at once, but usually need at least three things plugged into USB at once (128GB thumb drive, mouse, and phone charger). My setup with this hub allows for 5, which is nice because it allows me to constantly have 3 things plugged into USB while freeing up two USB ports to plug in external hard drives and flash drives simultaneously.I don't know what more to say. It's a very good price compared to competitors and suites my needs perfectly.

You should probably go ahead and buy two of these right now
We have made the transition from using laptops to using extremely lightweight touch screen tablets with flimsy keyboards. My son and my wife are both using Microsoft surface tablets. They have almost nothing in the way of peripheral connectivity. This little device allows them to plug a tremendous number of things into their tablet. And the tablet recognizes every single device seamlessly. I'm also using this on my Chromebook and it also works extremely well. I have a limited number of devices that I can connect via Bluetooth so this allows me to connect a wired keyboard and a wired mouse to save on some of that Bluetooth space. My wife also has a large monitor plugged in through this device and it gives her extra storage space via a micro SD card. I willspare you the difficulty of reviewing all the various devices like this on Amazon and just tell you that you need to go ahead and get this one because it just works.

Great value for the money. Packs a powerful punch!
I must say this USB hub is a well needed addition to my gadget family. I have a MacBook pro and it has no regular USB A ports just USB C ports. So I am so glad I choose this option. I ran several data transfer speed tests. This is where things slow down... I averaged 30-40 Mbps transfer speed to a USB 3.0 flash drive. When I normally use the flash drive my speeds range from 300 to 325 Mbps transfer speeds. The HDMI port works as expected. There was 0 lag between my laptop and external monitor. I am very happy with it.Another feature I tested out was micro SD cards and full size SD cards. I noticed a huge bottleneck for speeds of data transfer when it came to moving files to and from the micro SD cards. It was horribly slow. We are talking 5-12 Mbps for xfer speeds...Another downside of this is the lack of USB C ports. There is one USB C port but it's completely useless as a data transfer port. It's only purpose is for external power. I noticed that you gotta have external power if you wish to use the full functionality of this device.Otherwise I love the USB hub. The hub is full of features and I would place this one on the top of my list for USB dongles. It even comes with a cloth bag to carry it in.
