Even 1080 Super Wide 60fps I use on the Silver cannot be ...
For those considering the Black or Silver I went down that route. I chose the Silver since I do not need 4K recording and most non pros do not need it. Most people cannot even play it. Even 1080 Super Wide 60fps I use on the Silver cannot be played in most media players without being choppy. But the GoPro software easily views and edits it. The back screen is handy for photos and to setup. Ok so there has been complaints about battery life. For those people they need to get a simpler camera. There is just no way to have all this processing power (high res and framer rates need power) in a small package. Some mount on a car or bar so they do not feel it but a helmet or body or skis, etc you need it light. So there has to be a compromise. I do not see the issue with the battery. After 1 hour or more depending on your settings swap out the battery. If your in a race that's long then get the backpack battery but most people are not going or need to record that long before taking a break. Understand the technical limitations with high res and battery and change the battery when you take a break, etc. No big deal. If you want battery life then get a large bulky cam from another vendor or get a small cam with crappy resolution. Either way you lose. Sometimes you need to understand where the technology is today and accept the limitations. One day we will have unlimited battery life but not today. And GoPro is still the best in the game! I always want the best and was ready to get the black and glad I got the Silver. Way more than I need and 1080 SuperWide is crisp and clear. This camera even does more I believe it will do 4k at a lower frame but who needs that resolution unless your making it for the big screen theatres or Imax. This is the perfect camera, screen and quality!

I love My GoPro
The Camera is very cool. My GoPro and its very cool. The touchscreen display is cool and pretty easy to use once you figure out what buttons to push. The videos turn out really great. I wish it would give you a beep or something to let you know a few minutes before the battery dies. You will be filming and all of the sudden you look and its dead. Then some of the video you wanted you did not get. I use it all the time. Use it for snowboarding and for fishing. Check out my YouTube channel. These are all from the GoPro camera. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuuwIthNWDweOTGjtkfOVGw

I bought some from another maker (Wasabi) and while they work fine and were cheaper with a nice charger they don't ...
Been using this a ton the past few months sooting videos on my motorcycle trips. I got the remote quickly after the camera because it was hard activating the camera (on my helmet) and knowing was working properly while riding. One tip if you want extra batteries buy the ones from GoPro, I bought some from another maker (Wasabi) and while they work fine and were cheaper with a nice charger they don't last nearly as long. And the charger that came with them didn't work with the GoPro battery.

Great camera!
I really enjoy using the Hero4 Silver when I'm surfing. It takes really good video and pictures, and even lets you do both at the same time. Even though I typically shoot video at 1080 at 30 fps, it's nice to know that I can shoot at higher resolutions if I want to. Also, the built-in LCD screen on the back of it makes navigating settings and reviewing footage quite a bit easier than with the other GoPro cameras. I can't wait to use it for snowboarding!

BIG improvement over Hero3
I had several GoPro Hero3 versions that we sue mostly for still photography set on timed interval, but I was never that happy with the quality of the photos in them. I tried this Hero4 and it is amazing to me the difference, even though it is still just JPEG. I still wish they had a RAW or DNG option but these do have a "ProTune" setting that seems to be a bit better than regular JPEG for color control. I have set these in various locations on kayak trips simply on timed-interval and had several photos used in magazines (real print, not just a web site), that says a lot about the quality. The whole advantage to GoPro's is the variety of mounting systems, and the ability to make your own mounts if nothing is out there. I have built some using PVC pipe that make them usable in all sorts of odd locations. I will admit that I have never shot any video from these and honestly hate seeing video after video of crazy people doing crazy stuff, but these are great if that is your goal. Many of the older Hero3 accessories still work although the housing seems to have changed slightly, these are much easier to open with one hand than the older ones. One major difference also is the batteries, the Hero3 batteries and chargers do NOT work on these. If you do buy one be sure to buy extra batteries, although stock battery life in the Hero4's seems much better than the Hero3's.

The bundle itself is great and an awesome deal
The bundle itself is great and an awesome deal; however, I did not receive all the components that were supposed to come in the bundle which meant I had to spend even more money to purchase them. Also, the bundle doesn't contain a memory card which is required to use the camera, so make sure you purchase that separately at the same time or it is useless!

Great Camera...but...
Chosen this one because of the built-in display (huge advantage). I purchased it Feb.5 and received it Feb. 7 and up to this day upon using this the first problem I encountered is the unit won't power on (Feb 9). Knowing the battery was fully charged and yet powering it up seems futile. I was able to find some related solution in a certain video web channel and I hope the problem won't happen again sometime. I wish GOPRO can look at his matter regarding power-on failure, but other than that problem, HERO 4 silver was very handy and a great camera to be using it even everyday on anything.

The quality is excellent. The only thing that bothers me is you ...
We've only had it for a little while but haven't had any problems yet. The quality is excellent. The only thing that bothers me is you can't 100% removed the "fish bowl" effect from the picture even after running the software. Some of the pieces are tiny, so pay attention and keep a close eye on them. Haven't been in the water yet so not 100% sure how well the water resistant case works. Also haven't used the mounts so not sure how well they work either.
