Surprisingly Awesome, Amazing Picture.
First let me say I am a tech nut and have a good eye for flaws in technology products. Upon booting this up with an SD card inserted, it immediately starts playing my pictures. So even if you're an idiot, using this should not be difficult, at all.The screen is VERY high quality for a photo frame. Colors are vivid and the viewing angle is VERY good. You will notice almost no degradation in the image at any left or right angle, or from the top. The only time the image degrades is if you look at it from below - almost every photo frame I've seen does this though. Make sure the frame sits at or below whatever level people will be at when they look at it and you're fine.Another note, when I received the frame, photos were sharp but dull. I turned the Saturation setting all the way up and now photos have perfect color (not oversaturated, the way they should look). So be aware of this if colors look a bit dull upon first use. I didn't need to change any other settings.Of note too is that this frame does a phenomenal job of shrinking down large photos to fit the frame. It uses 'bicubic sharper' reduction so the images retain incredible sharpness when reduced in size by the frame to fit the screen. The motion sensor works perfectly. No false alarms and no having it turn off when I'm sitting right in front of it.Having used Sony and a host of others in the past, they aren't even close. I highly recommend this frame.EDIT: I heard from other reviewers that NIX was asking people who buy this to rate it 5 stars on Amazon for a chance to win something. Mine did not come with this card asking for a review nor was I asked to or paid to post this review. I posted it simply because the frame is very nice. Also some people mentioned the transitions on this frame are bad. Not that they are even really noticeable, but they seem fine to me.

Excellent - can't be beat for the price!
You can't get anything like it for the price (~$60)! It has a large 8" display with excellent display quality. I wish the frame came in wood but the black matte plastic frame isn't terribly distracting. I haven't tried all of the features yet but it was easy to operate and went directly to the slideshow mode when I inserted my SD card. I like the remote control and the ability to go to the thumbnail menu to delete or edit photos. I haven't tried the motion sensor, music, or video features yet but those weren't what drew me to this as much as the display size, quality, and price as a photo frame - which are all excellent!I am editing this post as I originally thought that the frame would only change orientation from landscape to portrait if you rotated the frame. The display defaults to "optimal" and the directions tell you to rotate the frame to change orientations so I was really disappointed. I am delighted to discover after exploring the settings that you can indeed set the display to "auto-fit" as well as "full" or "optimal." Too bad I had already deleted several portrait-oriented photos from my SD card thinking I'd have headless subjects before I figured that out. Honestly, the next best 8" digital frame that gives you all of this was in the $200+ range! This is also something I initially listed as a problem but am editing after exploring the settings further. I discovered how to change the slideshow default from a random selection, which repeats photos quite often, to play the photos in succession - much better. I was also able to choose one consistent transition. The random transitions, while creative, can be annoying and draw attention away from the photos so it was nice to be able to change that.Overall, you can't beat this digital frame for the price! I'm very happy with this purchase if it lasts a long time. Time will tell on that.

Simple and Awesome!
Quick Notes-Easy as putting an SD card.Simple Plug and Play. No instructions required.I bought this as a gift for my wife. She was very impressed with quality. We love the motion sensor feature, it is very welcoming when you enter the room and it starts playing your favorite pictures.I did not notice any glare issues when the indoor lights are on, and I am able to see the pictures during day time when sunlight is pouring in through the windows/glass doors. The screen is good quality, all pixels fire good. Colors are nice and sharp from almost all angles. We have this frame sitting on a corner table with the kick stand. so most of the time we look at it, our eyes are above the plane where this sits. It has a nice large angle of view.I did not mess with any of the setting at all, most of my pictures were taken from my digital SLR (Canon T3i) and some from point n' shoot Sony and Canon. what I am trying to say is the picture size and mega pixel varied but NIX does all the work as it loads up the pictures, it auto sizes the pictures and does it really well without effecting the aspect ratio or sharpness of the image. The slideshow with random flip transition is really nice. I read some reviews where people had complains about it for whatever reason. I did not find any issues with it.Price - I bought it few months ago for $89 bucks and I thought that was a good price for an 8 inch digital frame with all the features that it has. currently amazon has this for 69 bucks which is an even better buy.I would recommend this as an economical yet quality digital frame and if I have a need for an additional one, I am highly likely to buy this same one especially that its 20 bucks cheaper than before.Side note - I read on a review someone wrote that NIX will give people rewards for posting a 5 star review. I did see that insert in my packaging, I don't recall if it said, to post a review or to post a 5 star review. I think they want people to share their experience.
