I have owned this shower cap for about THREE YEARS, and it has been my trusty shower buddy for all this time, keeping my hair dry and my style stylish. It even survived several months in my gym bag when were were renovating the house, and I had to shower at the gym. ;-pAlas, nothing lasts forever, and the elastic finally gave out on one side. I bought my first cap at a beauty supply store about three years ago, and I am thrilled to find the exact same cap for sale on Amazon... for about $5 less. Yay!Pluses:1. YES, it is waterproof. I have a large, rain-style shower-head in my shower (with good-pressure water), and it splashes directly all over the top of my head. The cap never leaked. Not once.2. The terry lining stops my hair from getting sweaty during a shower. (Put plastic anything on your head, and your scalp is going to heat up.) This is probably my favorite feature/benefit -- who wants to step out of the shower with a clean body and a sweaty head? :-O3. Long lasting. Three years is pretty darned good for a shower cap.Minuses:1. The elastic band, although not tight, has a tendency to make train tracks across the middle of my forehead. As the marks can last for maybe half an hour, I solve this by pushing the elastic band up toward my hairline where, for whatever reason, it doesn't mark.How I use:I have medium length hair that is several inches past my shoulders. I clip my hair up, out of the way, and then put the shower cap over my head. If I didn't clip my hair up, it would just fall out. This is actually a plus -- imagine how tight the cap would have to be to hold all you hair up... ouch!- - - - -That's about it. LOVE this cap.

It was very nice and fits well

The woman I bought this for has very long hair, as in "ive been growing my hair out for 5 years" long. She takes good care of it, only mild shampoos and conditioners every other day or so, regular brushing, and no blow drying. She doesn't like her hair getting wet if she can avoid it, but she loves her baths. So to help with that I decided to give this a try, and I adore it.First off, the elastic band is snug, but not overly tight. It keeps the hair contained and doesn't let it bounce out even when there's some bathtime play time.Second, the interior lining is a soft terry cloth so it does absorb some moisture, but I haven't tested what wet hair inside it will do. She hangs it up on a towel hook when not in use so it stays dry.Thirdly, the pattern is eye pleasing. especially when she uses her leopard padded towels. but it just works as is. I haven't seen any color flaking that some described while I searched for it. I'm just glad I got it for her so she can enjoy showers and baths to clean her body but keep her hair fresh.

Most caps gape and if they have any kind of terry inside it stays wet and gets moldy even if you hang it somewhere in the bathroom. This one seems to have some dry quick fabric inside, and it fit's well and securely over my curly bob. I wish it came in more subtle colors, but who cares, no one sees me wearing it. Yay, I can go for a quick shower without having to do my hair everyday!Update: after a couple years the elastic broke so I ordered the same one again. It's pretty much the same but the elastic is much tighter than I remember the other one ever being. I don't have a large head at all and this one feels uncomfortably tight. That said, I can tolerate it for the length of a shower and it does keep the water out, but wish it was more comfortable.

The elastic that holds it onto your head is super tight! It always leaves a red mark all along my forehead. I like everything else about it though, the design, how it has the soft material inside. And how it keeps my hair dry.

Love this cute shower cap. This is my 2nd purchase of this cap. Same one!The 1st cap I bought in expensive local beauty supply store. That cap lasted 9 years before it stretched out.This should have same life-span. It’s same manufacturer.

It fits snuggly and due to the inner lining your hair won't get wet.

Felt cheap and was pretty tight on my head and I have a very small head . It’ll get you through and protect the hair but it’s not super comfortable .
