Broan-NuTone 413004 Non-Ducted Ductless Range Hood with Lights Exhaust Fan for Under Cabinet, 30-Inch, Stainless Steel

The Broan-Nutone 413004 range hood fits our needs perfectly. We bought this to replace an old undercabnet, hard-wired, fluorescent bulb unit that was probably installed in the 1970's. Since we only do a modest amount of cooking on the range top there is no need for a fancy vent hood with a lot of fancy bells and whistles. We just need something that will vent the water vapor/steam and cooking smells and this basic, affordable unit does it all. It offers a 2-speed fan, which is super quiet, and a light as well. Once I prepared the underside of the cabinet to receive the unit, the actual installation took less than 30 minutes, including the wiring connections. This is a well-built and sturdy unit, looks great, and will likely serve our cooking needs for a long time. Well worth the price and I highly recommend.

Looks great! I didn’t find the instructions inside the filter until after I installed it. I had to look up a video online, but otherwise super simple.

Replacing the vent hood wasn’t really something on my radar until I found this one for such a reasonable price. It was the same brand as my old one and fit perfectly. 10 min install & looks great! Also about $40 cheaper than at Lowes!

Price was good, however, after installing and removing the protective tape over the front we noticed a small dent. It does not come with a bulb cover, which it shold.

Installed easily. Uses regular light bulbs up to 75 watt. Fan is significantly quieter than my old one. Easily vented to previous roof exhaust. Pleased with the purchase. Fit perfectly into old hood space. 30 inches.

This is a worthy product. Not too expensive or cheap. Just right. Installation would have been a breeze but we had to drill holes in the unit because previous the holes the wall would not hold up. I would be again and recommend. It is quieter than our old fan. The old fan was louder on low than this one’s high. But it!!

Through no fault of the manufacturer, this product description on Amazon continues to describe: "A protective lamp lens distributes light evenly over the cook-top." The protective lens cover is optional and not included, but an LED bulb will be fine without the cover.The product is of good quality. Instructions are clear. Installation will be easier with a second person, but one person can manage with some effort. A power drill for driving screws will help. Drilling pilot holes in wall and/or overhead cabinet may be necessary but, for me, the holes aligned with those from the old hood I removed and no drilling was required.
