If you want a light or maybe even a Light and Laser this is perfect it's especially perfect if you don't want a whole bunch of crap on your handguard some people just like a stock mil-spec hand guard without all that extra m-lok and handrails and other crap that people think they need, like nine different accessories on their rifle for some reason.

I had trouble at first, but that's because I'm dumb. You have to place the screws on the side that has recessed holes. I did the opposite. Otherwise, great product. Great price. Oh they also sent me a little useless key holder as a gift, but that was still really nice!

Fit my ruger 556 just fine, would suggest some locktight or rock set for the screws

Has held for 1000 rounds and running if you don't have a long quad rail for your AR this helps move the light above the barrel and help alot for advantages light vs half of it lighting up you in low or no light conditions

Only use this for holding non-critical additions to your rifle. The two halves do not align with centerline of barrel or with each other. Improperly tapped holes. Hex heads began stripping after first tightening. Not a good solution for a laser sight.
