Beyerdynamic have absolutely nailed their first attempt at a wireless noise-cancelling headphone. First and foremost, headphones are intended for audio reproduction and so, above all, their best aspect should be the way they sound... and these Lagoon ANC headphones sound absolutely stunning!With them connected to my iPhone via bluetooth (AAC) and streaming songs from Tidal, they sound so genuinely high-fidelity that I cannot believe they are wireless! I’ve heard a lot said about audio products that claim to sound amazing in every way, and 99% of the time I’m left unconvinced but, rest assured, the Lagoon ANC is that rare (top 1% bracket) beast that sounds truly best-in-class.Why? Because no matter what you listen to, it’s so utterly immersive and entertaining that you forget everything around you and get totally transported into the heart of what you’re listening to. The Lagoon ANC’s have a unique talent of conveying the dynamics, texture, detail, tonality, agility, subtlety, imaging, atmosphere, etc. in whatever blend necessary and with a clarity that makes whatever you listen to totally convincing. They exhibit a “just-rightness” with everything you throw at it.Furthermore the headphones come supported by an app that performs a highly effective sound-check that allows you to tune the sound to your own individual listening ability. For me, it worked amazingly and subtly increased the sound-quality even further (with the adjuster level set to about a third).If the above isn’t enough, the passive noise isolation is brilliant and the active noise cancellation has two levels (1 and 2) that cancel out unwanted exterior noise proficiently and to the strength required. Level 1 is a good compromise, as it cancels out enough noise without that feeling of vacuum-like pressure pressing on your ears.Add to the above epic battery life (45 hours with noise cancelling turned off), super-fast and reliable Bluetooth pairing, great wireless range, a comfortable and stable fit (if you have fairly normal sized ears), reasonably lightweight, robust and flexible design and a neat touchpad that allows for volume and track adjustment.As for a unique feature, these Lagoon ANC have a ‘light guide’ system which lights up the ear-cups on the inside in a range of colours that, for example, lets you know if the Bluetooth is connected or, as another example, distinguishes the right and left ear-cups by lighting them up red and white respectively. It’s not entirely necessary, but it brings personality to the headphones.Worth mentioning here, I listened to the Sony WH-1000XM3’s and Sennheiser Momentum 3 before opting for the Lagoon ANC. They are both excellent headphones that first and foremost sound great and have their own unique attributes that make them worthy of consideration when looking for a package that best suits you.But in conclusion, if you’re after the best-sounding headphones, then look no further than Beyerdynamic’s Lagoon ANC. They are breathtakingly good and quite possibly the best audio product I’ve ever owned.Other notable features: the Lagoon ANC have the ability to operate like normal wired headphones with or without their battery charged, simply by using the provided wire. Also, the headphones can play directly from a connected USB audio device (e.g. a laptop), again by using the provided USB cable. It just keeps getting better!

The sound is excellent, particularly after the App adjustments made. 5 stars.The noise cancel is disappointing, in my opinion. Can listen even not very loud noises, can listen to the TV perfectly, can listen the cars outside... everything is quieter, but far from silent....Update after a week of use: the sound is truly excellent. The controls in the right pad work really well.

Really like these and pleased with my purchase. I bought these as a replacement for the B&W PX7 which were a good pair of headphones but I had issues with connecting multiple devices so I returned them. At the time of writing these are working fine (used for a couple of weeks now) and I am able to connect to multiple devices including my PC (Windows 10) and iPhone - both which run off different Codecs. This may have been the problem with the B&W's. Anyway the sound cancellation is great especially on a morning commute by train, not sure if the sound test is a gimmick or if it does work but interesting nonetheless, when you first set up. They do seem a little flimsy as you fold them to put them back into their case...but time will tell...hopefully they will be robust! Bluetooth connectivity is good although I have experienced the odd drop (nothing too significant) especially in crowded areas. The sound is absolutely fantastic and of great quality. At the moment I can't really fault these...although they are pricey. There will be cheaper alternatives on the market but I went for these as I have owned a couple of Beyerdynamics in the past. I recommend.

Good comfort, ANC and sound quality. But it broke after 2 months. Horrible.

I bought these within the premium sphere but not really knowing what to expect. I discovered that this type of headphone isn't for me. They are very plasticky and due to their closed approach and touch or brushing noise is amplified! The grip was not very good and the overall feel of them was not great. To be fair I have the same view of all these type of headphones but was thinking travel only. For me I have discovered that I prefer a good pair of open headphones and the ANC route is not for you

These have drastically improved my life since I got them. The noise cancelling works well and it means my anxiety is so much lower when going about my daily life. But most importantly, the sound quality is excellent, with a surprisingly good soundstage. They don't sound like Bluetooth headphones - I'm thoroughly impressed, just as I was with my DT250s. Beyerdynamic are the headphone gods!

La cuffia si presenta molto bene, veramente elegante e ben costruita. Intelligente la modalità di ripiegamento e la custodia che minimizza l'ingombro per un trasporto leggero e sicuro. Interessante e unica la modalità di adattarla all'udito di ognuno, personalizzando l'ascolto. Che spesso sono le nostre orecchie a non essere HiFi. Il suono è di qualità HIFI, non colorato, particolarmente per jazz e classica. Ma c'è un po' di meglio come Sennheiser, fascia alta. Comunque la differenza è solo "un po'" e mi sento di consigliarle: anche la bellezza ha un suo valore.

Der Kopfhörer ist als Weihnachtsgeschenk für mich gedacht und wurde vorab durchgetestet.Als erstes musste ein Firmware-Update gemacht werden, damit das ANC verbessert wird und damit diverse zusätzliche Funktionen wie EQ etc. verfügbar sind.Danach der Klangtest:Für mich klingt der Kopfhörer sehr sauber und angenehm, brillant, eben HiFi.Soll heißen, der hat nicht einen übertriebenen Bass, klingt klar und deutlich, auch bei Jazz etc.Das Noice Canceling ist gut und ausgewogen und ausreichend. "Nur" ausgewogen und ausreichend ist nicht negativ gemeint, sondern eben angemessen. D. h., Sony kann z. B. merklich mehr wegfiltern kann, wenn es um Stimmen geht, dafür aber dann mit sehr unangenehmem Druck auf den Ohren, als ob einem das Gehör weggezogen wird.Ich bin mit dem Lagoon in den örtlichen Mediamarkt gegangen und habe dann in aller Ruhe im Wechsel mein Smartphone (Samsung S10) mit dem Lagoon, den beiden Sony WH-1000xm3 und xm4 sowie dem Bose QC700 verbunden.Für mich spielt der Lagoon einfach klanglich in einer anderen (sprich höheren) Liga. Da können die Boses und Sonys nicht mithalten. Anders beim ANC, was ich jetzt nur unter Mediamarkt-Bedingungen vergleichen konnte: also höhere Frequenzen von Stimmen und generelles Hintergrundgeräusch an einem belebten Nachmittag. Da war der Lagoon subjektiv etwa dem XM3 ähnlich, der xm4 und der Bose QC700 konnten da aber noch etwas besser wegfiltern. Also, wer gar keine Musik hören möchte und nur den Kopfhörer aufsetzt, um einfach Ruhe zu haben, der ist sicher mit dem XM4 am besten bedient.Aber ich kaufe den ja vor allem auch deswegen, weil ich auch klasse Musik damit hören möchte, mit dem Zusatznutzen ANC. Und unter dieser Priorität ist der Lagoon ganz klar die bessere Wahl.Zur Telefonqualität:Den Test habe ich dann wiederum zu Hause gemacht und habe meine Gesprächspartner mit wechselnden Vergleichsgeräten nach dem Klang meiner Stimme gefragt.Verglichen wurde:- Smartphone direkt und ohne Freisprecheinrichtung als Referenz- Beyerdynamic Lagoon ANC- Sony WF-1000XM3 (In Ear)- Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro (In Ear TWS)- Soundcore Life P2 (In Ear TWS)- Sony SP-600N (In Ear mit Nackenkabel)Abgesehen vom direkten Telefonieren wurde der Lagoon so beschrieben, als würde ich direkt neben dem Anrufer stehen, ein warmer satter voller Klang.In der Reihenfolge oben nahm dann die Qualität im direkten Vergleich ab. Der Sony XM3 (in Ear) war wohl sehr nah dran am Beyer, aber bei den anderen war dann ein deutlicher Unterschied zu hören, obwohl die alle auch zum Telefonieren noch ganz gut geeignet sind (meine eigene Erfahrung).Überhaupt der solide volle Klang:Schaltet man so einen Kopfhörer ein, dann bekommt man ja gleich von einer mehr oder weniger angenehmen Stimme diverse Infos zum Status des Kopfhörers, egal ob Beyer, Sony oder Bose. Aber, die Stimme beim Beyer ist wirklich satt, voll und angenehm. Das war bei den beiden Sony im Mediamarkt und beim Bose deutlich blecherner.Nun gut, das ist sicher nicht das Kaufargument, aber es soll doch erwähnt sein.Was ist nicht so gut gelöst beim Lagoon?Nun, das sind die Scharniere. Die Scharniere des Kopfhörers knacken deutlich bei Kopfbewegungen, wenn man ihn auf dem Kopf hat. Heißt, wenn man den Kopf bewegt, bewegen sich auch immer in irgendeiner Weise die Hörmuscheln in Ihrer Aufhängung. Das ist bei allen Kopfhörern der Fall, nur ist es eben so, dass man das beim Beyer deutlich hört. Das stört schon sehr. Wenn man überlegt, wo der UVP liegt, dann ist das eigentlich ein No Go und traurig.Warum ist das so? Nun, wenn man die Kopfhörer so in der Hand hat, dann bewegt sich alles sehr leicht und smooth, aber wenn man den Kopfhörer aufsetzt und der Bügel dann unter Spannung steht, dann bewegen sich die Scharniere durch den Druck auf die Aufhängung nur ruckartig. Das nimmt man dann als Knackgeräusche beim Tragen wahr. Das läuft wiederum bei den Sonys und dem Bose besser. Zwar auch nicht perfekt, aber da sind unter Spannung die Bewegungen sanfter und dementsprechend überträgt sich das nicht so sehr auf die Hörmuscheln.Ein weiterer Punkt ist der Ein/Aus-Schalter. Der funktionierte immer wieder mal nicht, also ich muss hin- und wieder nach dem Einschalten wieder aus- und noch einmal einschalten. Da gibt es wohl ein Kontaktproblem. Der Schalter fühlt sich auch nicht gerade sehr solide an. Das geht glaube ich besser. Deshalb habe ich den Kopfhörer auch nach einer Woche retourniert und noch einmal neu bestellt. Kann mal passieren, wird sich zeigen…Sobald dann der neue dann da ist, bin ich mal gespannt, ob da dann das Knacken in den Hörmuscheln genauso ist, ober ob da Streuungen vorhanden sind.Zur Oberfläche:Auf den Produktfotos sieht die etwas edler (schön sanft mattes Finish) aus, als in Natura.Da wirkt das dann eher billig wie ablackiertes Plastik aus, was einem Kopfhörer in diesem Preissegment nicht gerecht wird.Da wirkt insbesondere der neuere Sony XM4 viel edler mit seinem wertigen matten Finish.So, nun muss jeder für sich selbst seine Schlüsse daraus ziehen, was einem wichtig ist und was weniger, und ob dann der Lagoon die richtige Wahl ist oder einer der anderen.Ich habe mich wie bereits gesagt erneut für den Lagoon entschieden und den noch einmal bestellt.Ein Update kommt in den nächsten Tagen, wenn der Ersatz dann da ist.Aufgrund des Knarzens in den Scharnieren kann ich im Moment aber keine 5 Sterne vergeben. Klanglich ist der Beyer super, aber an der Verarbeitung hapert es.Daher momentan 4 Sterne.Update 27.12.2021Der neue Lagoon hat deutlich weniger Knack-Geräusche, und der Ein/Aus-Schalter ist einwandfrei.Eine weitere Ergänzung bezüglich des Tragekomforts:Ich lese immer wieder, die Ohrmuscheln seien zu klein, und deshalb hätte sich der eine oder andere in Richtung Sony oder Bose orientiert.Hm, ich habe mal ein paar Bilder reingestellt.Ja, der Sony und auch Bose beispielsweise sind innen größer, aber die sind für mich tatsächlich unkomfortabler. Keine Ahnung, woran das liegt.Achtet bitte einmal auf die Fotos, man sieht, dass meine großen abstehenden Ohren deutlich länger sind, als der Innenraum der Hömuschel. Trotzdem empfinde ich den Kopfhörer beim Tragen als super angenehm. Und meine Ohren werden trotzdem komplett umschlossen und haben in dem vermeintlich zu kleinen Innenraum genügend Platz. Ich habe ihn gleich zu Weihnachten über drei Stunden getragen und überhaupt nicht das Bedürfnis gehabt, ihn abzunehmen. Ich denke da hängt auch vieles damit zusammen aus welchem Material der Schaumstoff bzw das Polster gemacht wurde. Der Beyer Kopfhörer schmiegt sich wunderbar an das Ohr an und dichtet auch bei meinem großen Ohren alles super ab, ohne dass ich das Gefühl habe, es sei zu beengt. Der deutlich größere Sony xm3 und auch der Bose 700 waren für mich beim direkten Vergleichstest im Mediamarkt deutlich unangenehmer, obwohl das Ohr dort theoretisch besser komplett reinpasst. Ich kann nur subjektiv sagen, wie ich das empfinde, und ich weiß, eigentlich müssten die größeren Ohrmuscheln angenehmer sitzen.Aber das ist letztendlich natürlich auch eine Empfindungs-Sache.Definitiv würde ich mich daher beim Tragekomfort nicht auf andere Rezensionen verlassen, sondern ich würde empfehlen, es selber auszuprobieren.By the way, auch Lesebrille oder normale Brille stören überhaupt nicht und drücken nicht.Die Polster sind einfach super. Vielleicht liegt's auch an der asymmetrischen Form der Polster.Noch etwas zur Optik:Dadurch dass die Muscheln von Beyerdynamic nicht so riesig wir beim Böse und Sony sind, sieht das ganze auch gefälliger aus, wenn man sie im den Hals hängen hat. Aber auch wiederum Geschmackssache.Meine Bewertung für den Lagoon ändere ich aufgrund des nun sehr guten Exemplars auf 5 Sterne. Ich würde ihn sofort wieder kaufen. Allerdings berücksichtige ich dabei auch den sensationell günstigen Preis vor Weihnachten.Ich glaube, zur Markteinführung war der UVP mal 399€, jetzt offiziell immer noch 299€, beides würde ich weder für den Beyerdynamic noch für den Bose oder Sony bezahlen. Man darf nicht vergessen, bei einem Bluetooth Kopfhörer ist die Technik in wenigen Jahren technisch überholt. Das ist bei guten Studio Kopfhörern eine ganz andere Geschichte. Die sind auch in 30 Jahren noch genauso gut, und da kann man ggf. auch mehr Geld für hinlegen.

Muy sachisfecho por la calidad del audio no se sienten pesados incluso pienso que tiene mejor audio de los de sonny xm 1000 y los bose 700 ya que compare el audio en una tienda departamental en cancelación de ruido tiene 2 niveles son suficientes para aislar el ruido exterior. Por el precio está en medio de sony y bose. El sonido es claro y los bajos no están alzados en medios y agudos la calidad es buena definitivamente si deseas una buena cálidad este producto lo tiene la conectividad es rápida y eficiente el cambio al tacto es rápido me agrado la luz que indica nivel de batería. Es un producto respaldado por una firma alemána que más puedo decir vale la pena su precio.

Excellent instrument separation and bass is punchy but not boomy. This is my second Beyerdynamic headset as I have custom street. While Lagoon does improve the sound, the build quality is vastly superior to custom street. Lastly, if you are looking for a ANC to drown out Bangalore traffic sounds, these are not for you. The ANC does a better job to drown out generator/plane engine sounds, and does improve with the firmware update. The light guides are helpful identifiers, the touch response is as expected and battery lasts pretty long.

I have been working my way through a series of failed attempts to find a great set of headphones.PX- loved them but too painful after an hour and too heavy for transport, bad case.PX-7 so upset by these, all show and no go. Soundstage is so muted I could not stand it. I am still bitter I sold my PX for these.Beats solo Pro, nice sound but too tight on the ears and the click to advance the song is insanely loud. I also had issues with SkypePXC 550 loved them but would not work with Skype or teams for calls at work so that killed it.AirPod pros, nice but one ear canal would not seal so they were worthless to me.Sony wh whatever’s, way too artificial sounding, did not like the anc pressure as well but comfortable.So I am sure amazon is sick of me but these are keepers, a great all around headset. Nice sound, nice anc, nice comfort, nice case, and they actually sit around your neck without strangling you ( I am talking to you px7). They are lightweight which people may gripe makes them feel cheap but its the same as the Sony’s and the Bose, plastic is nice and light. The app is impressive in the adapting of sound for your age, same goes for the interior lights, once you get used to it, it’s very helpful.Everything I throw at it from Public Enemy to Bright Eyes comes out wonderful. The only thing I am giving up is physical controls for volume and forward/repeat but these are responsive and seem to be working well. They don’t beep or click or say “ volume louder” every time you change it, which drives me crazy. I would caution that these are not for bass-heads in my mind, they produce a pretty bright soundstage, which I love, but the bass is tight and refined not loose and overwhelming. They are also not as strong in ANC as the Sony’s but those were just weird to me, I need to block out the cubicle next to me not remove all sound from the universe and then play it back as some sort of noise cancelling music oddity.This is my first pair of Beyerdynamics but I dig them, I would highly recommend them if you are getting tired of spending $400 and still making too many compromises. Coming down to $300 feels just right for my priorities, great sound, good noise canceling, all day comfort, functional at work and packs small. Well done.
