This is a really easy to read, concise 'whistlestop tour' of the range of different Theories of personality Development, from Freud , through Feminist and Person Centred as well as Existential perspectives.For me it has really helped to clarify the order in which theories developed and the social contexts within which they were formed.I would say that this is a must have book for anyone begining Counselling / Psychotherapy training as it helps to see how our own beliefs about personailty fit in to the theoretical models.

great book for my course

Very useful for study, the format is easy to read and understand, it explains things well which is great when studying part time and leading a busy family life.It covers many aspects and theories of personality development, and as they are all in one book it becomes a good source of reference for assignments.Would recommend it for any counselling coursework or psychology studies.
