I will be using a popcorn machine. The way the instructions state, i will add this to the machine with oil, kernals and the flavorcal correct?

I warm up the oil first, then when I measure the popcorn, I add a tsp in the popcorn cup and dump all of that in the oil. It's key to make sure the oil is heated sufficiently.

Am I able to just add this as a "salt" for popcorn? I use flavoral salt that way.

Yes, I do it like that. It has a tendancy to scorch if you add it like the directions tell you to. I use it in a whirly-pop on the stove,so...maybe it's me that is just doing it wrong. We still like it. 

Would this 3 pack serve enough colored popcorn for 100 people? We are looking to serve 300 hundred servings of popcorn.

The sugary glazes do not go as far as the plain Flavacol. The Yellow box is like kettle corn and it says on the box it has 28 servings per container. The Brown box is like a light caramel corn and it says on the box the same thing, 28 servings. The Orange box is a buttery flavor and it says on the box 141 servings. These appear to be accurate measurements as I have made batches from all of them. Honestly, I would only buy the plain Flavacol again as the other two sugar based ones are mainly that, sugar, and a little pricey considering I can just use plain old fashioned sugar or brown sugar and get the same results. Love the regular Flavacol though, tastes like movie theater popcorn with it. Hope this helps.

Can you use this on microwave popcorn?

It is used in the oil that you use for stovetop method of cooking. Not for microwave, no. Wouldn't work.
