Island Breeze Gauze Red, Fabric by the Yard

It was very disappointing to receive 3 separate pieces instead of receiving a continuous 3 yards piece .Now I can't sew the dress I was planning to. I will never buy again from this seller .

I’ve been making face masks to donate to hospitals and other places. This material is thin but very easy to work with.Arrived so much faster than expected and I am very happy.

I'll give it another try!*Original review....When I purchase any clothes or fabric, I always check for stains and pre-wash them for obvious reasons and that was the same case for this fabric. At first glance, I noticed there were some yellow'ish stains on my white fabric! Not just one, but a couple of them!!! But I though it'd be fine as long as they come out after the was....well they didn't...the stains are still there! Whoever was cutting this or packaging it had to know that he/she was dripping something! I mean, were you eating or drinking something while handling a white fabric (or any fabric)?? Unbelievable.....

In unfolding this gauze fabric, I noticed a spot about 8 x 1 inches long that was stuck together. When I pulled it apart, there was something light yellowish on the fabric. I started to send the fabric back, but decided to spray the spot and wash it. I was anxious to sew something, as this is the first time I have done so in about 20 years. I do not know what the spot is, it looks very nasty and I probably don't want to know. I hope washing it removed the germs. I had read another review recently that someone had found a spot of something on the fabric that could not be identified for explained, so I was looking the fabric over for spots when I found the stuck-together area. I am almost always happy with my Amazon purchases, but I will not buy fabric again. This fabric was cheap, and sure, you get what you pay for, but I wouldn't make anything with it again if it was given to me free. A waste of time to sew fabric this thin and cheap looking. My local dollar store has better looking clothes than what this fabric made.

I ordered 37 yards to be used as long table cloths. It was submitted in one order. I almost asked if it would be cut continuously but then i saw in the description, and I quote: "52'' wide. Fabric is sold by the yard and cut to order. For example, order of 1 yard (Qty=1) is 52'' x 36''. Order of 3 yards (Qty=3) is 52'' x 108''. So I ordered it. Now I have 37 SEPARATE orders shipped in my order history. This makes me think that it was all cut to 1 yard lengths and shipped separately. This defeats the purpose of using them as long table cloths. If this is true I hope I get a refund. If it comes as one continuous piece then I will rewrite this review.

I bought this fabric (3 yds) to make 2 swaddle blankets. Because of this hole near the selvage, the second blanket had to be made smaller than planned. I needed every inch of the width of the fabric and I didn't get that on this order. I would definitely have returned this fabric but the baby needed the swaddles immediately. I contacted Ben Textiles about this issue but haven't heard back.

Right now if you're wanting to sew a nice garment for summer it's kind of hard to shop with the pandemic going on. I wanted a nice cotton fabric to make a tunic that would keep me cool but stylish. This gauze fabric was just what I was looking for and a very nice price per yard, just under $5.00 @ yard. Other places I searched for this fabric was over double Ben Textiles price. I was looking for something I didn't have to iron, like crinkle cotton. This fabric is not too thin or thick. They have a nice variety of color choices. I chose white because I have some beautiful white crochet lace I'm going to use on it. I searched other places online and didn't find a reasonable price like theirs. This fabric washed and dried beautifully.

This is perfect for what I needed. Great cheap fabric with medium-light weight. I used it for the body of my Remor cosplay. It was heavy enough for a good drape but light enough to wear in Texas summer heat.
