Works very well
I bought this product to repair a very expensive pair of Altra hiking shoes. Altra warrantied the shoes and sent me a new pair, but told me to toss the defective ones. I have a hard time tossing a $225.00 pair of hiking shoes with less than 20 miles on them.I followed the directions and washed to shoe sole with hot water and Dawn dishwashing liquid. I then let them dry in the sun completely. Then I cleaned the sole liberally with Acetone and let them dry in the sun again. Then I put a good amount of the glue on the sole and the tread and let it dry for about 5 minutes. I then stuck the tread back to the sole and clamped it tightly with a good wood clamp. I left it clamped for 24 hours. As you can see in the before and after pictures the tread is securely attached to the sole. I have been wearing them for hiking and general work for a week with no issues. This stuff works if you follow the procedure.

Made in Germany, worked pefectly with my self volcanizing plugs
I store my tire pluggs in a tightly sealed plastic wrap, however the heat and cold tend to affect the "tackiness" of those "self volcaninzing" plugs just when I need them! I had the chance to use the rubber cement a few days ago and I cand confidently recommand this rubber cement to you! My advice to you is to use it liberally all over the plug... (I would throw away the unused portion anyway.. just buy a few extra packs and carry them with you, they really won't take up much storage space ;))

Love everything but the price
This is the best repair cement out there, but the price for what you get is pretty high. In my view, this is "too much cement for too much money." Maybe you can sell a tube or two to a friend?

More expensive, but worth every penny
One of the things that I do is repair bicycle inner tubes so that a local charity can rehabilitate used bicycles so that they can be sold. Rema Tip-top, as it does with every one of their products that I have used, is head and shoulders above every competitor - sufficiently that it is well work paying more. Their patches are easier to use, particularly with regard to removing the cellophane backing, and, in this case, the vulcanizing fluid, or, if you prefer the glue, sets quicker than any other that I've encountered and holds better.

Fixed boots! Fast, secure rubber patch... But you need to do it right.
Years ago my winter pac boots got a hole in the rubber base and a shoe repair guy bonded a peice of rubber to it. It held for years. Years later, the same thing happened to another pair of winter boots. After reading up on it, I learned you can "vulcanize" a rubber patch to the rubber boot. This SVS-VULC vulcanizing solution makes the rubber on the patch permanently bind to rubber on the boot. But, it is not like a standard "rubber cement" where you add a patch to the gooey cement and it dries. For the holes in my boots, I cut a piece of rubber bike tube to cover the hole. I cleaned the talc off the bike tube piece, scuffed it with sand paper, and wiped it with rubbing alcohol. Same thing to the rubber on the boot surrounding the hole. Add a layer of this vulcanizing solution to BOTH the patch and boot. Let it dry... It won't even look like glue anymore, but let it thoroughly dry. It takes a few minutes. Then place the patch on the rubber and press it firmly on the boot. It sticks instantly and firmly. Apparently, the vulcanizing solution frees up the rubber molecules so they ban bind to one another and permanently fuse the patch to the boot. This worked great. In the attached photo there is a rubber patch on both boots where there were holes.

Don't waste your time with the other brands.
If you ride a road bike with tubes, this is a must have in your repair kit when on the road. Other brands just don't work as well. Save yourself the frustration when standing on the side of the road using other brands that just don't work.

Understand The Amount
Just understand one thing before ordering. These tubes are small. The last tube of vulcanizing cement I purchased was 20ml. These tubes are 7ml. Probably will be fine since cement tends to dry up after opening. I'll update once I've actually used for tube repair.
