Absolutely perfect!
My autistic 3 year old daughter has had a favorite stuffed animal that is a sock monkey version of curious George. It goes EVERYWHERE with her. Needless to say, she loves this book. It is almost as if it way written for her. The little girl even looks like her.FYI It is best for ages 2-3.

Great book for young children!
All of my grandchildren have loved this book! The simple repetitive language allows them to read along.

Cute book!
Fun book that is something the kids can join in because of the repetitive text. The little girl acts like the animals they will see next, so it is great for predicting/guessing.

Different ending from the U.K. version!
Our version of this book, purchased in the U.K., was long one of our daughter's favorites. When I purchased it for a recent baby shower, however, I was dismayed to discover that the publisher(?) has changed the ending. The little girl and monkey no longer go "home for tea"; now they "go zzzzz." It doesn't quite have the ring of the original.

Great Book For Children 3-5 Years of Age
This is a great children's book for children ages 3-5. The little girl with her monkey imitate what animal they are going to see next at the zoo, and then the reader can guess what animal it will be as they turn the page. The repetitiveness of the verse, Monkey and Me, Monkey and Me bring cadence to the story. The illustrations are simple, but full of action and emotion-just right for kids. This story is great for getting the child to act out the different animals.

but the pictures are beautiful.
My 4 y.o. has a monkey she loves more than anyone in the world, and this book really speaks to her. It is not a "story" book and the text is short and simple (my 6 y.o. can read it easily), but the pictures are beautiful.

My son adores this book.
We got it free in Cheerios as well. Unfort. my 21 month old is not quite "mature" enough for normal books, so he shredded it to bits. I kept taping it, but it's just too mangled (it's a lot flimsier than a real book - really more of a booklet or phamplet). Anyway, I just bought him a "real" copy- I know he's going to be so excited. I'll make sure he doesn't kill this one!

Nice pictures, but text is ridiculously boring. Don't really see what age this is for
The nice illustrations are utterly wasted on an extremely repetitive and boring text. Monkey and me x 4 went to see some (penguins / kangaroos / monkeys etc. / home for tea). I felt like a tool reading it to my son - there is no opportunity to do any character voices, or describe something interesting on the page. It's not a story, just several sentences. So you have to read it in a stupid manic fashion to make it sound interesting. Otherwise you make it sound very boring (which it is). It's a joke that this is supposed to be for 2-5 year olds! Maybe for a 1-1.5 year old but even then, I found it more interesting to read books where there was more going on! By 2 we we doing Gruffalo and other such short stories. This book would definitely not cut it. I read it twice and wish my wife didn't waste the money on it.

Monkey and Me
Monkey and Me by Emily Gravett. This is one of my favourite books from Emily. Fun rhyming story, beautiful illustrations. I love using this book as both a bed time story and an action story. It’s a great wind down book, as it’s short and sweet, and also perfect to get kids moving, doing the actions for each animal and making their noises. Started this at 6 months and still using it with 3 year old.

Simply AMAZING
We have been borrowing this book from the library, on and off for about 2 years and I finally decided that it is one to keep so have finally bought it.I started reading this to both my children from about 18months old and they have LOVED it. How do I know this? Because , even when the book is not in sight my children have both repeated the rhythmic and repetitive story to me - it's pretty amazing to hear this from such young children. The simple but repetitive language encourages speech development and it is quiet poetic if you ask me. Additionally, the anticipation as they turn the page (They went to see............?) makes it and avid read for a young child. My youngest child has always struggled to sit through a book (quite opposite to my eldest) but this book has captivated her.Another point, are the beautiful illustrations which make this book a visual pleasure. Despite reading it SO many times, it was only recently I studied the pictures and discovered they give the reader a clue of who "Monkey and me" are going to see. I will be interested how long my kids will like this book because it is SO simple it may only hold the attention of a very young reader (under 5 maybe?) but only time will tell on that one and I am prepared to be surprised.

My toddler requests this over and over again
Infirst saw this at a playgroup and my toddler loved it. I bought a copy and she requests it over and over. She loves the pictures and the words. We also count on the pictures. It has been value for the money.
