This is gorgeous leather. I mean properly beautiful stuff. It smells of luxury. Just enough irregularity in the appearance to be obviously genuine and add some character, while still being very sleek and refined.As a work of art, this takes some beating. Just don't use it meetings — you get some funny looks when you unconsciously start sniffing your iPad.As a stand, it works well. The two angles are about right for typing and viewing, and it feels stable. If you watch the product videos, they make quite a big deal about manually creasing the leather to make it stand up properly — I have to do this maybe one in three times, no big deal at all. My one criticism in stand mode is that it's really fiddling to push the tab through the slot to hold it closed. Magnets would have been much better.As a case, it's pretty good. It looks positively opulent, and feels great. I'm impressed by how slim it is, too. Reading other reviews, it sounds like there is a lot of variability in the product: others have complained that the stylus loop is too loose, but for me it's too tight, to the extent that the Apple Pencil takes a real effort to get in and out. The precision of the manufacturing is impressive, with all of the cut-outs lining up perfectly. However, the masked buttons don't work quite as well: it's hard to tell by feel alone whether you're pressing the up or down button for volume, and the cover over the power switch is a little too tight so it occasionally turns itself off. It's also worth noting that the cut-out for the Lightning port isn't big enough to comfortably plug in an Apple Pencil for emergency charging. My biggest concern is with the closure tab: it's just too fiddly for quick opening and closing. I say again, Kavaj: use magnets!Overall, I love this case, and as with any true love, that includes being driven nuts by it every once in a while. The fiddly closing tag is the worst part, but I can work around that — I tend to close it only when carrying it somewhere, and just fold the cover over without "locking" it when I'm just putting it down somewhere for a few minutes. If you can live with that, you've got a slim, premium case that looks, smells and feels great.

I purchased this particular case as I wanted one that provided a loop for my Apple Pencil. The only reason I have given 4stars and not 5 is that the area of leather that covers the on/off switch is difficult to use and kept my iPad continually turning on and off. Being unable to soften it enough, I ended up cutting the little piece of leather out

Great looking case for the Ipad Pro. Unfortunately the cut-out for the lighting cable isn't large enough to insert the Apple Pencil - the iPad needs to be taken out of the case each time one needs to connect or charge the Apple pen - which was kind of surprise to me, because the case is targeted for customers who use the pencil. Sliding the pad in and out of the case for charging the pen eventually caused cracks in the the leather of the case, around the display cut-out. I reported the issue to Kavaj's customer service who diligently responded with a refund. Summary: great looking case, but it suffers from minor quality and design flaws. I would rate the case itself two stars, but given the outstanding customer service my overall rating is three stars.

Great quality and superb customer service. I've noted a design flaw in the product when pairing the iPencil that I use a lot in my work, since it requires a physical pairing, I emailed the customer service to bring that to their attention and they've responded promptly thanking me for the input and even reimbursed me what I paid. Then I had a phone call from their customer relations team asking me about the issue and how that affected the pairing process and promised to chase that up with the design department and take that into consideration for the next batches. The problem was the stitching at the bottom of the case is coming out a bit longer than what the lightning iPencil can reach to pair. This mean every time you have to pair the pencil you have to take the iPad out of the case, pair it, and then put it back in. This caused a bit of inconvenience to be honest. Other than that it is a fantastic product, looks great, and I have always been asked where I got it from the minute people saw the case.

A very tight fit it looks as there has too much economy on the amount of leather used.

I think if this company made toilet seats I would buy it. I've got the iPhone case, IPad mini case and now the iPad Pro case. I love the loop that holds the pencil. The quality of this case is amazing it's like and old leather chair you find in an Manor House. Considering how amazing the the iPad Pro feels in the hands you feel reluctant covering it up with anything lower quality than the device. This thing cuts the mustard. The price is high but to be fair it's worth it. If you've been hovering over the buy button thinking its a bit high priced then consider all the cheep nasty plastic cases you stick on you expensive brand new iPad.

This is the second Kavaj case I have bought - the first for the iPad Pro 12". I was so impressed with the first one because of it's style and functionality that I immediately went to them for the new 9.7" ipad pro case . For me the most useful element is the stylus loop, which I find fits quite well and certainly better than having it floating round in my briefcase.One thing I would like to see is somewhere to store the small charging adapter as I prefer to use this rather than having the pencil sticking out of the ipad.Overall a very useful and impressive cover - now my iPhone needs a new case ; Hmmmh?

Nice high quality real leather case. Stylish. Soft . Folds into a stand .. But other cases provide a more stable stand
