George Thorogood and the Destroyers 30th Anniversary Tour Live

I watched this twice the first night that I got it. The music and video are in sync but the sound levels get tweaked from time to time. The stage is simple but it's the band that you come to watch. If perfect music is important to you, buy a CD. This is a great show and the whole band contributes. Major songs are modified as you would expect in a live show. There are 15 songs on the video and 13 on the CD. There are 3 video performance extras that are worth watching. The running time is listed at 103 minutes. Between each stage song performance, there are short interviews (seconds long) that are tastefully done. I enjoyed them. This is a stage performance of a 30 year old rowdy veteran band in front of a mature audience with their kids in England. The result is interesting to watch. Highly recommended to any George Thorogood fan.

This is an awesome concert whether your a big fan or someone that just like the songs they played on MTV in the 80's. The whole concert is great and I didnt skip a single song which I find myself doing on most concerts. I call it the "bathroom song" Anyone that has been to a concert when a band starts to play something different and the next thing you notice is that everyone is leaving to get a beer and/or go to the bathroom. But no Bathroom songs here!!

He starts slow to tease the audience, but then blows the doors off the building! He obviously loves what he does, and it shows. This concert is one of the greats in my collection. Well done Handsome George and the Destroyers!

This is George Thorogood and the Destroyers live at the Nottingham Royal Centre in 1994. I have been to the Royal Centre a few times and i know it to be a 2,000 all seated venue that holds Panto, Theatre asv well as Pop gigs and older acts. George later said he,s used to Biker venues in the USA and there more louder.You casn see he goes out to go for it and make the crowd go more for it. Its intersped with George talking backstage and for the £5 i paid well worth it. See where Joe Bonamassa and Joanne Shaw taylor get there brand of Blues Rock from a man who,s done since 1971.

Saw George and the destroyers recently on tour for the first time and they were incredible anyone who likes blues / rock they are a must. This dvd captures that magic a mesmorizing performance and the selection of songs was perfect for a live set.Yes the band is getting older but the energy ia all there and the sound is tight, the mix of rock and blues guitarist, a superb drummer and magnificent saxophone player makes for an heady mix. Highly recommended!
