Top Quality craftsmanship, but even in Extra wide the toe was too small.
I am very impressed with the overall quality of these boots; sadly I have the widest friggin' feet in the world! My big toe started hurting on the inner edge in less than 10 minutes. If you have wide feet, especially in the toes requiring extra space in the toe box don't go for these. I have ordered an exchange for the non steel toe version of these boots. I have found that for most brands the steel toes restrict toe box space and I have to order very wide boots in steel toe; but without steel toe my feet fit comfortably in a normal wide and I can wear them forever. Once again , these boots are some of the highest quality boots I have purchased in a long time just too narrow in the toe box. Chippewa, if you can make these boots with a wide toe box like the RedWing Emperor toe or like Keens.

The bed of the boot is pretty minimal and I will most likely add a moulded ...
Very top-notch quality materials and construction - no complaints whatsoever in that regard. I'd give them 5 stars other than the width-sizing which seems to run narrower than what I'm used to fitting. Whether this has to do with the steel toe I don't know. Maybe it's an issue that will not affect you but I could have ordered one width wider, and I ordered one width wider than I usually do to begin with. (I ordered 11E when I usually wear 11D - and could have ordered 11EE) I'm slowly breaking them in and being leather they will eventually conform as they should. So that's why I said I wear them only a couple hrs at a time - when they're fully broken in I'm sure they'll be all-day boots. The bed of the boot is pretty minimal and I will most likely add a moulded insert once the leather stretches a bit.

The BEST pair of motorcycle boots........EVER.
Ok, I searched high and low for a pair of these boots. I finally found a pair at another store. Normally, I wear an 11d. When the boots arrived, it was immediately clear that they were too narrow. I then searched Amazon again and magically found a pair of 11e's. I had them delivered the next day (great service). The boots do run a bit narrow, especially at the toes. That said, I just put on 1,000 miles with them. They are built like tanks. Pure quality all around. The soles grip the road so your foot does not slip when you stop the bike. I put some inserts into the boots to help with comfort--they work great. They slip on and off easily and they wear great. I have to say that these are the best motorcycle boots I've ever owned---and I've been riding for a very long time. These boots are pure awesome.

Well Made, Will Take Some Breaking In Though
These boots are a little uncomfortable at first but most slip on boots should be a little tight until you get 'em broke in. Good tough sole, stitched together well, can be re-soled someday. U.S. made quality product overall. Would give 5 stars if the steel toe was just a little wider, doesn't really cramp my toes unless I wear really heavy socks, but not too bad. One might also consider when buying these boots is that they are for riding not walking, they have very tough soles that don't give a lot so if you plan on taking bike trips where you will do a lot of walking around you may want to take some walkin' around shoes with you, or get some boots with hiker type soles which are much softer.

Time will only tell how they'll hold up.
This my second pair of Chippewa engineer boots. My first pair blew out on the side, so I didn't feel as though the quality was there. Nevertheless, I like the style, and Chippewa has more variety than other manufacturers so I came back to them. I bought the steel toe in size E this time, so hopefully they'll hold up. I also went to a Red Wing store and bought orthodics for them. That's something else to consider when buying these as well.

Will be purchasing more
Bought two pair, will be purchasing more. My son is 6'3" tall and over is over 200 lbs., he wears these every day in the shop on cement floors. He keeps forgetting to rotate them and the pair he wears all of the time still look great. The soles have held up the foot area has not bulged out and the leather doesn't smell bad when he wears them a lot. This has been a great pair of work boots. We did add Filson cork insoles as his foot size is 10 3/4 rather than a true 11. [...]

second pair of chippewas in my life
my first pair of chippewas i bought was in 1994, somewhat later than my bike. Never could have thought these boots would last this long. Somewhere in the zero's i thought , well they will last another decade , but isn't it time for a well deserved retirement in boothalla? nope , it wasn't until this april i got the opportunity to buy them in the states during a holiday. And when i got them on finally, is was a sort of homecoming. Iwill never wear others than these, there's nothing that can equals the quality on the whole.i will putt it in my testament , to burn me with the boots.Oscar

Good quality, worth the price.
I've owned several pairs of Chippewa's over the last 40 years and this newest pair holds to the high standards I expect. Solid construction, and I expect them to break in well over the next few weeks. It's a nice price-point between cheaper engineer boots and the high-end $$$ you'd spend getting custom Westco boots.
