CORE Series Sparring Head Gear

The fit takes some adjustment, but after the material breaks in its very comfortable. The quality of the product is noticeably better when you upgrade from a lower end headgear. And in terms of protection, its very dependable. I highly recommend.

After reading the reviews I decided to order a size up to accommodate the smaller fit comments. The head portion fits fine it is the face and chin that is smaller. The snug fit helps keep the headgear in place when taking punches but if you have a linger, slimmer face the chin fitment is off. I do like that it can be adjusted with the string instead of velcro at the top of the head. This keep it from pulling and tangling in the hair and also won't wear out as fast over time from all the adjustments. Also, if the strings breaks you can just replace it. It does have velcro in the back for easy on and off after you get everything else fitted to your head and the velcro seems to be long-lasting. The downside is I'm not sure my son will wear it enough because of the fit or lack of proper fit on his chin and face. I tried to return this headgear and it says it is not return eligible. I am currently trying to find someone at the gym with a rounder face that might like the fit of the headgear better. Overall it seems like great quality headgear with good padding and absorption but it hasn't really been put through the paces and given a true test run due to the lack of proper fit around the chin area. It just seems a little off in that area. I wish I could give it 3.5 stars and hope this review helps those who are on the fence about this headgear. I do believe it would be better for smaller chins and/or rounder faces (just my personal opinion).

Excellent merchandise

I bought this for my autistic daughter who tends to hit herself in the face. I didn’t buy the junior ones because I read some reviews saying it runs small so I decided to get this adult one. It has a string to adjust it to your size that fits you best. It fits her pretty well so I don’t know how this will work for an adult. It doesn’t have any padding on the top where the crown of your head would be. My daughter doesn’t usually hit herself there so it wasn’t a problem for me.

Comfortable to use

It fit my daughter perfectly. She says because it matches her gloves and is different looking from everyone else, she won her first 4 sparring matches. There customer service is spectacular as are their products.
