We're not remotely Indian, so my family gets a bit frustrated with it, but hey. They are welcome to move out. Anyway, because I live in a remote corner of Exactly Nowhere, USA, and it's literally two hours' drive to the nearest Indian market (Patel Bros, which is awesome), I have to buy a lot of my whole spices and flours and stuff online. I tend to default to Kani brand because so far they have not let me down, and I do see they are a major brand when I make the drive to Patel Bros or even H-Mart (which has half an Indian aisle).So, realistically, I can't tell the difference between a teaspoonful of these in a recipe or a teaspoonful of some other brand's kalonji seeds. So, "get them" says I, because at least you know they will arrive.

All around good experience buying from Rani. To give you perspective, the container of 3 ounces is about 3.5" tall and has a 2.25" diameter. The container has an inner seal and that is inside a heavy-duty cardboard box. I used the seeds for a specialty bread and was pleased with the quality.

I had never used this product before. I read that they are good for you, so I purchased lol I didn't realize how big the container was. This will last me a long time. Seems like a good value for size

Package was delivered just like the picture. So far the use has been effective, although I have used black seed for 4 years. I would reccomend after purchasing, to transfer to sealed container.

Add this with cumin while tempering in oil and pour it over your dry or wet curries. Dot it over your dough before baking a stuffed bread or add it in a samosa filling. It’s a game changer!

Using in cooking and as additive to salad, sandwich, soups, whatever I’m eating. Tasty and doesn’t overwhelm the regular ingredients.

Confused I’ve had kalonji black seed from other brands but with this one I got an allergic reaction - is this authentic? If so is it black seed or onion seeds?

I had been looking for nigella seeds for a very long time, and because this one was at a reasonable price and had Great reviews I ordered it. The packaging was really nice. There was an extra wrap around the container to keep it safe from any external water or damage. When I opened the container’s lid there was a seal on the container which made me really happy. The product is genuine and of the highest quality. I use these seeds as sprinkles on home made bread, and love their taste and aroma.

I have yet to try this product, but am looking forward to doing so. Research infers that "black cumin" is a miracle substance...miracle cure for various diseases and a health maintenance for the body. A belief that dates back for centuries, originating out of the Middle East...and said to treat/cure all diseases and ailments. Death was said to be the only life affliction, which this "miracle seed" was not able to overcome.I'm not a fanatical health guru....But, I figured that it was worth a try! Further, this product is well-packaged, and reasonably priced. ☺️
