N'Ice Caps Kids Winter Trapper Hat with Large Ear Flaps

Ordered size 13-15 for my 12 year old. Was too small/ tight.

First impression, not so great. Much-much thinner than expected. Also, the fur is only where it is visible. I thought the whole hat is lined with that material. It is not cozy looking or feeling due to the thickness.My son had a look when I showed it to him like I want to put poo-poo on his head, but then he tried it on. We had a good laugh as it fell right on his eyes. Once we fixed it it seemed OK, but the Velcro straps definitely need some improvement and adjustment if we keep it. It is just hanging there, not holding the ear flaps close to his face and completely defeats the purpose. We tried to blow air through the hat and we could not feel the air in the inside, so I think it would withstand wind pretty well. The hat seems isolated, so debating whether to return it or fix it up so it serves the purpose.

My 10 yo likes this hat. A little bit big. Velcroing under the chin causes it to balloon out at the ears so may not be for really cold or windy days. If left open it would probably fall off.

It’s an okay product but it runs small, so size up! The inside is soft but the thickness could be better to improve warmth. Seems a little cheap, too. I returned it due to the sizing and ordered a name brand replacement.

Just tested in our first snow and it’s a great little hat. Brim did a great job of keeping the snow off my son’s face while it’s still actively snowing and seems like it would be helpful for sunny snow days also. It does run big - my son is about 3.75 yrs old and has a pretty big head actually so I bought the 4-7 size, but hat is pretty loose so I’m going to order the smaller size to try also and keep the other one for next year.

I was looking for an ear flap hat so that the head and ears would be covered. This fit the bill. Thank you.
