JIM DUNLOP221 Metal Slide (34221000001)

I didn't know how to use this. Then one day I turned it to an angle and low and behold, cool sounds emerged.

i wanted to use it on my middle finger to slide a couple high strings (thats what the short slides are for) but it immediately got very stuck on my finger. my hands are fairly small. it would be a knuckle slide if it was a little shorter and wider.

Ever so slightly shorter than I thought it would be, but does the job fine.

I love this slide. For one, I highly prefer chrome over other materials, I think it sounds much smoother. I prefer this small one over the full-size slides because I can keep it on and still be able to use all of my fingers to play, avoiding the scramble to put it on while still playing when your solo is about to come up. It will probably only cover about three strings at once, but I don't generally go for more than that anyways in the style that I play (country/blues, primarily just to add some extra fun to my solos). I still have a full-size chrome if I ever want to bring it out, but since getting the mini I haven't stopped using it.

As one reviewer mentioned, you are only going to cover about 3 strings with this little thing (and that's even pushing it.) You may think "well I mostly play single notes so that doesn't matter." You are right but that 'mostly' is the key word here.. I have found it severely limits your playing options. Having to shift from one string to another is very difficult and lots of clank notes will ensue. While the small size is great for comfort and lets you play chords while wearing it, it also makes it unusable. Save your money and get a standard size slide.

A noticeably more mellow sound on my archtop acoustic than its brass counterpart. The shorter length allows for easier finger style playing without the slide getting in the way too much. Nice slide overall.

Great Slide, built very well and fits very well. I have seen someone use this type of slide and it sounded great. If I can learn how to use it correctly I am sure it would sound great also for me. lol It is very well made, I would definately recommend !!

small tight fit

This is a nice slide and given the super low price I paid on sale here on Amazon I'd say 5-stars. But, there is no way of knowing how thick the chrome plate is, and thus no way of knowing how it will stand up. By the looks of it, and after measuring with my calipers, I'm guessing this is a high quality plating job. Measurements in all dimensions are the tiniest bit bigger than advertised...not enough to make a difference. If you're not into metric measurement, note that this is a short slide, only 1.1 inch long; don't buy this one to bar the whole fret width!

Siempre he sido mas del sonido cálido de slides de vidrio, ademas de por su comodidad, pero he tenido muchos accidentes donde se estrellan asi que esta vez opte esta vez por este y me gusta mucho como resbala además de que no pesa nada y aun así se siente de buena calidad.

Este medio slide permite usar tus dedos o el slide cuando lo necesites. Mi único arrepentimiento es que me quedó grande en el dedo anular lo cual entorpece mis movimientos, está hecho para dedos de hombre.

Prodotto molto valido ma ahimè si è fatto attendere un mese. Spedizione troppo lunga..ma è arrivato.
