Amaki Bentonite Clay Mud Mask included Konjac Sponge with Activated Bamboo Charcoal and Applicator Brush - Adult Acne Treatment and Blackhead Remover that Unclogs and Minimizes Pores

I'm 23 years old and have suffered from acne since I was 13. It's gotten much better with age but I still have not been able to get clear skin. I've been using this product for about 2 weeks now, I do a full face mask on Sunday and Wednesday and use it for spot treatments throughout the week. I still have breakouts but I will say this stuff really speeds the recovery of the skin (especially if you've picked at something)! We will see how continued use effects my level of acne in general. Only thing is that mixing with water often leads to clumps that are hard to get out but that could maybe be avoided with better technique.

the bentonite clay is a normal sodium bentonite clay, nothing special about it. I took one star off because the brush that comes with it is completely a piece of junk, it is silky soft synthetic, very thin and cannot be used for anything. If you like konjac sponges, this is a good value (i don't use it though), but i was looking forward to a brush, but turns out i still need to buy a good one separately.

Let me start by saying that I have oily skin and regular hormonal cystic-type break outs during certain times of the month, and general blackhead clogging on the nose, cheeks, and chin. I started using this mask after I got a "detox" break out from a facial I had. I thought this would clear it up quicker, but I was wrong. I used this mask daily for about 3 weeks and my skin looked absolutely horrible, with tiny bumps all over my skin and white heads appearing every morning. But, I hung in there as others had mentioned. I could tell that my face was not reacting based on an allergic reaction or sensitivity, but was pulling all of the junk to the surface that needed to come out. I could visibly see small white debris being pulled to the top of the mask. At the end of the three weeks, I basically woke up to the clearest, softest, pore-reduced, tightest skin I have ever had. By far the most dramatic result from a skincare product I have experienced. *I mixed this with one part of the mask to one part of distilled water and one part Bragg's ACV, applied with brush, steamed face, and washed off with the Konjac sponge after completely dry (about 20-30 mins). Face a bit red after, but went away after 1/2 hr. or so. I finished off with a bit of coconut oil to sooth and moisturize. Highly recommended!

Pain in the rear to use this stuff. They give you this big jar of powder and basically no directions on how to use it ....other than equal parts clay and water.You'll have to have your own mixing bowl, that's not metal, and you can't use a metal spoon for some reason. The brush is a joke and is not even strong enough in the least to put this clay on your face. Plus, the brush is really really cheap and comes misshapen so you won't be able to use it for makeup either. The sponge is interesting and works nice on your face, but stinks! Even after using it with a nice smelling cleanser and rinsing your face totally clean, you cannot get the smell off....And it's a weird funky smell that I can't even describe. Overall, the product itself (clay) may be ok, but getting it on your face is not time friendly and clean up is kinda hard bc the clay dries fast.....it's just a pain and something you'll find you will only drag out on a Saturday when you have no plans.

I love this clay mask!I really love how it comes with a brush that really helps to efficiently mix the clay powder with water before using.and a sponge to clean your face before applying. This jar is very HUGE and substantially heavy, and considering you don't need to use that much each time, this jar is sure will last you months.Before using, I clean my face with the sponge that is included in this package to clear my face of any particles or residue that might prevent the mask from being completely smooth. I mix the product with water, apply the mixture to my face , and leave it on for 15-20 minutes.My face always feels incredibly soft and smooth upon cleaning off the mask since this mask helps to exfoliate the dead skin cells and thoroughly clean out pores. Previously, it makes your face feels clean and tight and I love that feeling so much.after some time of using this product I became able to mix it without any measurements. you can feel it by adding water and mixing to reach the consistency you are willing to reach for easy applying.I always clean off the mask by wiping the mask using my finger first without pressing too much on my skin. then I use a warm water to remove the rest and it will come off very easy after you get you used to it.

I purchased this a little over a year ago and as the instructions indicate, if one doesn't have raw Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV), you can substitute water. Well, I did that as I didn't have any ACV on hand and had okay results. What I found was that it was difficult to break up & stir the mud with water. Next time I tried I used warmer water and stirred longer. This was better, but I found that the clay pulled on my skin a lot...and almost to the point where I dreaded using it as I feared the pain of the pulling. Yes, it worked to unclog my pores. TODAY I pulled it out of the closet as I realized I had ACV in the kitchen and immediately I could see the difference the 1 part ACV made...it emulsified the clay to a nice consistency right away and easy to apply without the worry of chunks or lumps of mud. This texture also eliminates the pulling as the mixture is better disbursed no doubt from the acid in the ACV. Left on a full 20 min and my skin feels amazing afterward! Highly recommend picking up a bottle of raw Apple Cider Vinegar to accompany this product! You will get more out of it in more ways than one.
