NOT SILICONE
Great detail, NOT SILICONE. The description says that the picture is just the soap it makes, not the mold. I missed that when I ordered it. The mold is thin clear plastic, and makes one large block of soap with the design across it multiple times, meant to be cut apart. Good mold, not what i was looking for.

waste it cracked durring first use.
Incredibly misleading the photo shows a silicone mold 16 soaps what arrived was a plastic mold that will do 9 soaps. That cracked when i tried to use it. I'd return it but it's not worth the shipping. I won't buy from this seller again. His listing photos should match the discription other wise the disception is intentional.

Not Silicon
Another plastic mold, not silicone. But I am kinda obsessed with the Tree of Life, so we will be using it for sure. Another one where the details are just perfect. I'm a little worried about getting the molds out after drying, people have claimed to have trouble. But we'll give it a go.

:/ This mold "color" throws you off if you do not read the description carefully. IT IS NOT SILICONE! I used it for soap and I did not spray it with anything to keep it from sticking and i messed up more than a few bars in the process. It can be a deceptive posting.

Tree of Life! Great choice!
After reading some reviews about having trouble getting the soap to release, I was almost afraid to order any plastic tray molds. I must say that I have had NO problem with these. I poured it at soon as I got it today, because I am making a dozen of these to put in favor bags for October (next month) and I wanted to get started on them. Same as other Milky Way tray molds, I gave it over an hour to set up (I made it a two color, layered thin soap, so they set up faster), then put the tray in the freezer for 10 minutes. I pulled the plastic mold away from the soap with my thumbs until some air got under the soaps. I went back & forth, left/right, top/bottom, letting the air under the soap until all of them had released in one big block. After the block of soap fell out, I cut them apart and was dazzled by the beautiful little green and white favors to add to the gift bags!BTW, I got the 16-soap tray (by accident?) and am delighted! Thanx, Chelsea!

SOAP MOLD IS CLEAR, unlike the picture. READ THE DETAILS BEFORE BUYING.
The photo is VERY misleading with the color, makes it look like a silicone mold and it DEFINITELY IS NOT. It is clear plastic, and is meant for small thin soaps. I was expecting something a little different and should have read the details more carefully. NOT WORTH THE $9 in my opinion.Shop should show a photo of the ACTUAL product in CLEAR and a soap from the actual mold to give buyers a better idea of what they are actually buying.

Nice mold, makes beautiful soap
No, it is not silicone, but the silicone ones are much more expensive. And this one works fine. For cold-processed soap, add sodium lactate (1 tsp. per pound of soap) to the cooled lye water before mixing with the oils. Cure at least overnight, then put in the freezer for about 30 minutes. It is not hard to get the soap out of the mold with these tips. This is the second of these molds I've bought, so I can make more soap at a time.
