Ruth Bell Graham's Collected Poems Hardcover – January 1, 1997

I love her poems. She speaks to all kinds of experiences straight from the heart. It must have been difficult for her raising 5 children when Billy was out on crusades often. As she writes in the Forward, it was compose her poems or get an ulcer. I'm glad she chose well. Anyone can relate to quite a bit of what she wrote.

You probably won't find many "great" poems here, but there are lots of thoroughly wonderful poems. I read some of these when they were published, years ago, as "Sitting by my Laughing Fire" and I just loved them. The one about the cricket, the one that starts "They felt good eyes upon them", and two or three others are favorites of mine and they cheer me up when I'm down. It's a love book to have near your reading chair, so that you can read a few lines when you have time.

Feel a common thread with Mrs. Graham.....a Christian and a poet, too. Really could identify with so many of her writings..

Book is phenomenal. She had many hard things in her life but life and Light and simple trust in God kept her going. I'm so glad she shared that through her poetry...everyone can relate to the down to earth life she writes about.

Inspirational. Peaceful. Lovely layout. I read from it almost daily and have shared excerpts with friends and family. Would purchase more if they were available at the reduced rate I purchased it at or even for a bit more, to give as gifts to a number of friends. Thanks.

Enduring thoughts and prayers written by a woman of faith

I absolutely love the writings of Ruth Bell Graham. This book did not fail my expectations. A great coffee table book as well.

I may have to order another copy for my granddaughter who enjoys poetry. I want to savour my copy.Ruth Graham was a gifted poet, and honest. Her thoughts expressed in poetry about her the seasons of life, including marriage, childraising, and anticipating heaven ring true. I am so glad that her poetry is still available.
