Best on the market!
Hard to find this anywhere in the southern states. This is THE BEST curry powder on the market! It makes my curries as close to authentic as they can possibly get, without taking a trip to Guyana. You won’t go wrong using this curry powder.

Great Curry
My husband and I love this curry . He’s the person that introduced me to it . Best curry I ever made .

Good curry, but far too mild for my palate.
Had to "doctor" it with powdered hot pepper for my cooking. Too mild for my tastes. Great taste otherwise.

great flavor
I have tried several curry powders in the past. This curry powder is by far the best in my opinion. It is not too hot and not too mild. Just right for any type of meat or poultry. It is also very affordable at this price.

Bengal gram farina is chickpea flour w/o gluten
I almost threw this product out after spotting the word “farina” in ingredients thinking it meant wheat but found out it really says “Bengal gram farina” which is chickpea flour! I am much relieved since I had just used it already and have mild gluten sensitivity (rash not celiac). There is no claim that it is gluten free however but should be fine for us “mild gluten sensitives”.Seems milder than some previous Madras curry powder that I bought before and I personally will use it liberally and add some heat. My husband who hates heat will tolerate this just fine. The red plastic container which I bought for storage convenience (instead of other products which just come in plastic bags) is difficult to open! The sealing/security plastic tabs holding the lid on during shipping are like steel. I could not open the lid by twisting but had to snip them. I ended up snipping too deeply and punctured the container twice, but sealed the tiny holes with glue. Just FYI be careful when snipping! Perhaps hire a safe cracker!

Best Curry Powder
Lalah's is the curry I've known since childhood, and it's hard to find. I am very glad that Amazon has it. Do get the 2-pound container. It lasts a long time so that you won't waste your money. I have mine in the refrigerator. It's the authentic Caribbean curry flavor.

Super fragrant and delicious
I don’t have a lot of experience with Indian spices, but I love Indian food when I go out to restaurants, so I figured I would give it a shot. What I do is mix a bunch of this up in full fat yogurt and then marinate chicken in it for an hour or so, then I put the chicken on the grill or in my little convection oven. So good! The other thing I’ve done is just throw some chicken and vegetables in the Instapot and then put a bunch of this in. When it’s done, I’ll add a can of coconut milk to give it some richness. Honestly, I’m not sure if I’m doing any of this properly and I really don’t know what I’m doing, but hubby likes it, so I will keep trying different things. One thing to note… When this is cooking it will smell up your entire house! Your neighbors will probably know that you are cooking with it. It is not a bad smell, but if you are not used to having a strong food smell in your house, it’s best to cook it outside. I have one of those round convection ovens that cook from the top and I can plug it in with an extension cord and put it on the balcony. I also have a George Foreman grill that is on the balcony. I even put the Instapot on the balcony when I’m cooking this! I won’t cook with it inside.
