This cinnamon smells fantastic!
This cinnamon smells fantastic! It doesn’t have that acrid scent/taste that the version you buy off of the store shelves. It is not as harsh. It is hard to describe. Try a little standard cinnamon on your tongue. It almost burns, but this does not. As soon as I opened the package, the scent instantly reminded me of the smell of cinnamon candy. It almost tastes sweet when sprinkled on my tongue. The taste is much lighter than standard cinnamon, but just as flavorful. It is great on applesauce, and multitudes of other things. I can’t wait to try it in the pumpkin pie this thanksgiving! I really can't properly describe taste and smell, so you will have to try it. The product is finely ground. Every time I open the package, a bit goes wafting into the air. Did I mention how good it smells? I love that is a family business, and I really appreciate how they invest in their community and improve the quality of their employee's lives. The resealable bag is nice, but I recommend transferring it to an airtight container as soon as possible. Unless you use a LOT of cinnamon, the seal on the bag will fail before you use it up. To be honest, I was looking for Ceylon Cinnamon for its health benefits. What I didn’t count on was finding a new favorite spice. I don’t know how to tell you how much I like this cinnamon. I can’t even eat apple slices anymore without sprinkling some on them. Of course you might say cinnamon is cinnamon right? This brand caught my eye when I saw the obvious pride they have in their product, and people who have pride in what they do, will never allow less than their best. For instance, the way they reply to feedback negative and positive. They even give you a little history lesson on their country, area, and people.I'll tell you something to try that my dad showed me when I was little. It was one of the few treats they had growing up around WW2. Take a slice of soft bread (white is best to me but your preference), and put it on a saucer. Spread a generous serving of applesauce on the bread. Lightly sprinkle sugar over the applesauce, then sprinkle some of this wonderful cinnamon over that. Take some cold milk, and carefully pour it around the outside edge of the saucer until it puddles around the bread. (Not on top or you will wash everything off). Finally, let the milk soak in a bit then eat it with a fork.

Now THIS is what I'm talking about. This bag is MUCH BETTAH!
***UPDATE***05/05/2018Now THIS is what I'm talking about...Gave these guys another change (months later, LOL) and I am very enthused to say that THIS bag is DELISH! Smells wonderful, seems to be just... better. It smells and looks fresher and the bag is in great condition and working (ziplocking) properly. Yes, this ceylon cinnamon is great. Obviously my first order with them was a dud. It happens. But, I will give it a go again upon using this bag, for sure! Kudos.Hello, Sooo, I opened "Organic Ceylon Cinnamon" today (just today because I just finished up my other cinnamon) and I must admit that I am very disappointed in this cinnamon. It states that it's from a 3 generation Sri Lankan family with organic ceylon history, blah blah blah, but...... this actually tasted and looks like DUST, has very very little cinnamon smell, has a very weird metallic taste and unfortunately, the bag was glued so well that when I opened it, the ziplock part completely stuck to one side and cannot be re-closed. And.... I've missed the return window. Drats. Oh well. Just wanted you guys to know. My bag was not as glorious as apparently everyone elses's. Won't be buying this one again.UPDATE: Wow! The customer service is stellar! I was contacted within minutes of my feedback and they were very accommodating. Dunno if I just got a "dud" bag or if maybe I dunno what the hell I'm talking about 'cause the cinnamon just didn't work for me, However, I upgrade my rating to 3 stars just for the prompt and courteous customer service. Kudos!

Heatlhy for you
UPDATE: 04-05-2018I also found that I can mix 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon powder and 1 tablespoon of the fiber in a cut with 5 tablespoons of apple sauce (the one that has no sugar added). This is easier to mix. In fact while shopping at the grocery store I noticed Applesauce with cinnamon in it already, but this is much better.ORIGINAL REVIEW: 02-12-2018I've been using this for about a year now. I wanted to find a good way to mix into a beverage and found one that works for me. I start out the day by taking my vitamins either with an EcoDrink Naturals https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072Q1Q553/ and 1 gram of Stevia (to sweeten it up a little) or with Dr. Price's Daily Vites https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DBEM8KM/. To it I add my daily dose of fiber (Psyllium Husk from Costco) and then a teaspoon of this Cinnamon Powder which is healthy for my heart and helps to lower blood sugar levels. I found it best to mix the concoction in one of those EcoDrink bottles and then pour it over ice. What's left at the bottom of the cup is similar to an applesauce consistency and easy slides down the throat. This is a routine that works for me.The Cinnamon tastes good and smells even better. No more store bought cinnamon for us. We store it in a glass Snapware container.

Very Good
I didn't know what to expect due to the varying reviews on Ceylon cinnamon, but I'm so happy to report that this is an excellent product--for my taste. The aroma is interestingly floral and the grind is fine powder, also good. It has a milder, subtle cinnamon flavor but sweeter. What I like is when I put directly on my tongue, it does not burn at all and there's no bitterness. I'll just have to double the dose in whatever I bake, but I feel comfort knowing that there is only a trace of coumarin in Ceylon compared to what they refer to as "fake" or cassia cinnamon, which I've been reading a lot about. I use a lot of cinnamon and I still have a ton of my Saigon from Costco, but doubt I'll be using it due to the high levels of coumarin. A safer product is worth the cost.

Good taste, too finely grounded
It has good taste, probably good quality, but it is grounded too finely, which makes it very airborne. Opening the package, or even just opening a jar in which I transferred it causes ti make a little cloud of cinnamon each time which can stain easily. Same product should be grounded a bit more coarsely to avoid this, then I would give it five stars.

Spicy additional to life!
I have always been afraid of cinnamon because it caused my skin to burn but this product is delicate enough to not impact my well being.
