Compustar 1WG15R-FM 1 Way Replacement Remote 3000' Range

I lost one of the key fobs for my Chevrolet Express Van 3500, so I ordered one from Amazon. I was dreading programming the new fob because I have programmed ones for other vehicles before, and they were a bear to program. This one was the easiest one I have ever programmed. I looked on YouTube, and the instructions seemed to be simple in the 1-minute and 30-second video. And on the first attempt, it programmed perfectly. I was amazed that it has a range of up to 3,000 feet. My wife is very happy now because on those cold winter mornings, she can remote start the van and have it toasty warm when she leaves the house.

It works as intended. Has a slight lag in response time, say you want to unlock all doors and your vehicle is programmed to unlock the driver door on first press, then the rest. I bought this because the vehicle i purchased had the Compustar ANT-2WFMX system installed on it but no remotes came with it, except the factory key fob, which is required to start the vehicle (2014 Dodge Grand Caravan). Im sure this remote is compatible with other systems as well, but this is the one I have installed on my vehicle. The remote itself is a lot smaller than I thought it was but its functional. Comes with a standard keyring and a clip. It didnt have programming instructions in the package so I had to go to Compustar's website to obtain them. Once I got the instructions, the programming was pretty simple, though im sure it varies by vehicle make and model. Overall, im satisfied with it. I use the remote start function daily.

Compustar fmx Key fob works perfectly. I was able to save money by programming myself using instructions found on youtube.com.

Great product and functions as listed.... if you can find instructions clear enough to assist you through the re-programming process. Nothing comes with the package except a 'good luck' and a pat on the back. I went through 4-5 YouTube videos before landing on someone who actually knew what they were doing. Because you can't actually start the car during this process you'll want to do this while it's 'cool' outside. I thought it was going to be a 5 minute process in my 100 degree garage, but after multiple videos and 30+ minutes of 'watch and try', I was drenched and frustrated. I eventually got it working only to find out that when you reprogram one fob, you need to reprogram ALL the other remote fobs to that vehicle. Adam Sandler in the 'Wedding Singer' said it best... "That information would've been helpful yesterday!" Recommendation for the manufacturer/distributor: In the packaging, a simple pic of a QR code that links to a manufacturer approved YouTube video to walk me through the correct process would've save me a lot of time, frustration, and sweat. Giving 4 stars because what should've been a 5 minute re-program took a lot longer.

Very good remote and good range also easy to programming

Works as I hope it would. Had to google instructions which were found on Compustars site. Turned the car key on and off 5 times, leave in on position, wait for light to come on from antenna, press lock on fob and done. If you already have 1 fob and adding this one just make sure to pair the new and old at the same time otherwise just the new will work. This is what i discovered for what it is worth.

Surprised how easy it was to set up . Awesome functionality, worth the price, don't hesitate to purchase, you'll be glad you did.
