This desk doesn't disappoint!
I'm thrilled with this new desk, but keep in mind that I've had it for less than a week. It arrived a week earlier than I expected and it was in great shape. I received one of three boxes within two days of ordering the desk and didn't know where the other two boxes were in shipping so emailed Amazon. I received an email response within five minutes from the Stand Up Desk Store - they have provided excellent customer service so far. About the desk: I ordered the white glossy top with charcoal base - sleek, simple, and surprisingly sturdy. I honestly didn't know what to expect at this affordable price point, but I am extremely pleased with the quality of this desk so far. I work at a nonprofit and purchasing a pricier electric desk was out of the question. I don't agree with the other reviewer that this desk is a step down from IKEA products. I was at IKEA this weekend to hunt for some storage drawers that could accompany this desk and was thinking to myself that my desk was better made and sturdier than IKEA's similarly priced desks. Their new electric desk was $750 and the desk top was that boring matte white. It took less than a hour to assemble this desk (not by me as I'm not handy at all but by my engineer family member) and we encountered no issues whatsoever assembling it. So far, I stand the first part of the morning and lower the desk late morning, raise it for first part of afternoon and sit last part of the afternoon. The crank is smooth and it just takes a minute to lower/raise. For taller folks out there, I recommend having someone measure the distance from the floor to your elbow at 90 degrees to make sure this desk will work for you. (My PT recommended that I get a desk that allows my elbows to rest on the desk at about a 90 degree angle.) That distance for me is ~ 44". The maximum height of this desk is 45.25" height of this desk, so it works great for me. From my research, the 45.25" max height of this desk is one of the taller ones out there. I'm going to give it another month to see how the desk holds up, but right now, I like it so much that I'm considering purchasing another one for my house as I telecommute some days.

Very Impressed with Quality and Easy Assembly - Great For Home Office Retro Fit
Re-did my home office for new house and wanted a high desk. Was not really looking for a "cranking" adjustable desk since I just wanted to sit at my desk like a pub set-up (since I would always rather be at a pub). I am also tall at 6' 4" and like being in a higher position. After lots of furniture shopping at local retailers and office supply places, I took the plunge on Amazon after reading reviews. I am nervous about buying furniture and clothes on-line but this was a slam dunk win. The product came in three boxes that were logical in packing and sequence. I am not handy and was nervous about assembly but this product make me feel like Bob Villa. It was easy to follow and so well engineered and tight tolerances that everything fit well and straight away. Some of the boxes are heavy based on the components being strong and heavy metal. I was not here during delivery but no major damage to box and nothing internally when I unpacked. I assembled by myself and took a little longer since a few steps could use an extra set of hands until you get supports in place and such, but within an hour I had it together and in my office setting up. It is strong and substantial without being overwhelming. It is on casters and easy to move around. I even found myself standing at it a couple of times. The crank mechanism is handier than I thought and allows my Wife to adjust to match her size (along as she puts it back to my height when she is done). Very impressed and looking forward to getting some accessories for multiple monitors and putting a drawer on it.

Perfect for working from home and super easy to put together
I purchased the white on white in mid December 2016 & it arrived on time. I put it together myself, and didn't need hubby's help except to bring the heaviest box up the stairs. I was able to put it together in about 1 hour [or less if I had paid closer attention to the instructions], but it's really easy to put together & it's well made. The only issue I had was installing the rod to raise & lower it, but I finally got it in right and it's very easy to raise & lower. I'm 5'9; and due to neck/back issues, plus plantar fasciitis, I need the ability to sit & stand. This desk is very clean looking and perfect for my needs, I only wish it had a shelf or drawers to put some things. Update April 2020 I work from home most days of the week and this desk is still going strong. Sometimes I wish I had purchased the electric version but then you have to worry about the parts going out & it not working. I do have a memory cushion mat that I use when I have it in the standing position, and due to my height my chair fits fully under the desk and out of the way. Having the casters has made it super easy to move around the room when I've needed to. The only things that could make this better are: affixed surge protector with multiple outlets (I tried velcro to one of the legs but the weight of it eventually slide down the side & now I have glue to remove - looking for a clamp to hold the powerstrip to the desk), cord keeper (the little plastic hooks in the box that you glue on are not effective...because they're glued and the cords are heavy, and a drawer to store pens, pencils, scissors etc. Overall this was a super good purchase!

6 months later…
After 6 months of daily use, I’ve had a good experience with this desk. At first I was hesitant to buy a stand-up desk at this price point, but so far it’s paid off and I’m happy with the quality, aesthetics, and function. The 48 inch size has been perfect, fits a 34 inch ultrawide monitor comfortably without feeling too small or too big. My only complaint would be the finish on the desk surface is not incredibly high quality, but i’m happy enough with it at this price point and it’s not something I notice or think about during daily use. Others have complained of chipping or damage issues but I have not had any issues so far. My desk is holding up well. Probably luck of the draw. Oh and another complaint, the desk does not go down low enough for optimal ergonomics when fully lowered. I’m 6’0 and when sitting at this desk when fully lowered, I have to raise my seat so high that my feet are hanging off the ground. I got around this by using an elevated foot rest (which has actually been quite comfortable), but ideally I’d just be able to just put my feet flat on the ground... Beware this “stand up” desk is not designed for comfortable sitting without an elevated foot rest. Definitely something to consider for anyone shorter than 6’0. Overall I recommend this desk if you’re looking for a budget-friendly stand up desk, but I wish it went lower for more comfortable sitting options. I found a work-around that I’m happy enough with, but seems like a design flaw and loses a star for that.

Versatile, good construct, but slightly wrong instructions
So happy with the purchase! # ----- White gloss top ----- I chose the white gloss (even though that's usually not my usual design choice) after I read a review of someone using it as a whiteboard. It's fantastic for quick notes! Remember that the seller does NOT recommend it as a whiteboard, so keep that in mind. So far (one month), I haven't seen any issues. # ----- Desk legs + adjustability ----- The legs are sturdy and don't wiggle or whine during normal use. While I surprisingingly don't adjust the height often from standing to sitting, the few times I've used the crank have been pretty decent experiences. The crank isn't silent because, well, it is mechanical. However, the crank isn't too loud either. With that said, the ease of use and sound depends entirely on how you assemble the crank. # ----- Assembly ----- Background: I like to work with my hands, and I don't tend to finish assemblies with more screws than expected :) So, with that said, I thought assembly wasn't too bad. I got stuck halfway through and reached for the instructions for the first time only to realize they were for a slightly different model than I got. 1. Build the legs with the back part of the legs resting on the ground 2. Add the casters 3. Assemble the inside part of the crank 4. Shift legs into the upright position (resting on casters) and test the crank by increasing and decreasing the height of the legs 5. Attach desk top to legs with either 5a or 5b. 5a. Shift legs back into resting on the ground, angle the heavy desk top perpendicular to the ground, and start connecting the top to the legs with screws. Lift the table to the upright position. 5b. Keep the legs in the upright position, place the desk top ontop of the legs, connect the top to the legs with screws. Step 3 is where you decide the rigidity and noisiness of the crank. You'll probably have two metal bars of differing lengths (for some reason...) that you place in a hollow metal tube that has screw on cinchers. You'll want to play around with the position of the metal tube over the metal bars until the tension is strong. Less wobbly crank means less noise and more effective cranking. # ----- Overall ----- I've been enjoying this desk very much! It's my first standing desk, and I've been enjoying the benefits of easily moving around while on 4+ hour calls with clients. I highly recommend especially for the price point.

Great choice for standing desk - 60"
I have had the desk for a month so far, and absolutely love it. I had spine surgery some years ago, and standing eases the strain tremendously. Now that I work form home, I was looking for a sturdy, reliable and good quality desk. This desk fits that bill. Assembly: The desk came in 3 packages, and was well protected. One box had some damage on the corners, but the desk itself was unharmed. Parts were clearly marked. Assembly took about 90 minutes. I recommend referencing the online videos; the printed instructions can be a bit ambiguous as to the placement of the metal frame supporting the desk. The cross bar is not centered, but is placed toward the rear of the desk. That took me a while to confirm. Pros: The desk has a nice, clean look. Materials are of good quality. The motor is robust, moving the desk quickly and rather quietly. Stable: Doing a great deal of video conferencing (several hours per day), I was concerned that the desk might shake when in the standing position. Fortunately, the desk is quite stable -- no wobble at all, unless you hit the desk laterally. The desk moves easily on the casters (tile floor), and all 4 wheels can lock. The controller is intuitive, with 4 memory positions The shelf provides a great height for the monitors, and frees up significant space on the main level Cons: None so far

Absolutely love my new desk!!
I love this desk! But first! Here's my setup notes, you can thank me later: -- get a **4mm hex socket** and socket wrench with a small extension. There's about 30 of those 4mm hex bolts in this thing, and you do not want to use the little wrench they give you. -- **leave the 8 bolts from steps 1 and 2 loosey-goosey**, then later if the bolts for the bottom of the desktop don't line up, adjust those first 8 again. Do not try to force the desk to align by driving the screws in at an angle (lol) Don't be like Ben and cross-thread a bolt into the bottom of the desktop pieces. You'll rip the metal housing out that you're screwing into. Then you have to glue it and wait hours for it to setup.. .. don't forget to tighten those 8 bolts after the desk-tops are both attached. --I also used a rubber mallet to pound the "feet" in. Don't see how anyone could drive those in by hand. onto the fun stuff: I use the lower tier as a giant keyboard tray, and the idea is to have monitor arms mounted to the back to add a 3rd tier, which moves the monitors away from my face a little (only have 1 arm up in the picture). Otherwise I think the screens are too close because the desk is not deep enough. This was pretty obvious from the picture, so no surprise there; I ordered the 2 monitor arms at the same time. As others mentioned the desktop material looks really durable. I'll be putting it to the test for sure - the sweat from my palms seemed have eroded my old desktop where I rested my hands at the keyboard. It's like my very own super power to take a great desk and trash it. Let's see if this surface is up to the challenge! Shipping was super fast. I mean really super fast, but I'm 100% sure the UPS man hates me now. It's 2 boxes, 49lbs total. He used a dolly to get it up to my door and let it all down with a dramatic SLAM. I was a little worried for my new desk, but I still thanked him profusely! Turns out the desk was in no real danger, the packaging is expertly done, and I now have enough scrap styrofoam and cardboard to open my own shipping supply store. The electric Sit/Stand motor and drive on this desk is genius. I started out skeptical as I saw the narrow drive shaft in the package, but it's really clever and simple. That part of the setup took like 2 seconds to install (hah). So easy and fast I re-read the instructions to make sure I didn't miss something. Electric motor is quiet-ish. It's not going to drown out conversation or music playing or anything like that, but it is definitely audible. The up/down action is oh-so-silky-smooth. No worries about stuff vibrating or knocking over, etc. At 6'1, sitting position for me is at the lowest setting, and my chair is all the way up. This is just about perfect, but would be an issue if you were shorter or your chair doesn't go up as much. I feel like the desk could go a few inches lower, but if you attached your own KB tray below the bottom tier, it would be fine. As far as standing, I have plenty of room to spare there, I never take it up as high as it will go. That's it, thanks for reading. hope you like this desk as much as I do!

End Result is Good. But getting There tough.
I ordered four of these for the office. As a guy who just assembled four of these over the weekend here's the pluses and minuses. Overall solid materials...legs are sturdy. Top is decent and looks great with high gloss. Some risk of scratching but it looks good. Engineering and manufacturing problems: -Toes above castors are very hard to put in . You will need a hammer. Best to use a rubber hammer as a regular might break. -Main crossbar on primary desk has 80% mis-drilled holes. There are 16 large nuts on each side. You will only get a handful of these in due to poor threading/sizing of the mis-drilled holes. 16 a side is way overkill so you probably don't need all of them. -Side crossbars have mis-sized nuts for the center. This caused me go go through the top of the desk with the first one. Just doing the four corner nuts is probably just fine and also necessary (see below) -Crank has a cross tension bar to crank each side of the desk. These are just slip on brackets and I can easily see this slipping off. So if one side starts going up and not the other be sure to stop...take off the top and reconnect. -One of the desks was delivered damaged. It was primarily on the leg so the damage was done pre-boxing. So expect some quality assurance issues. -You will need a small monkey wrench. The one with the kit is pretty bad. HAVING said all that I have to say the responsiveness for getting replacement parts is excellent. +1 Star.

Sturdy standing desk
This is a high quality desk that feels sturdy and provides plenty of space. Building the desk was fairly straightforward single-handed however a second person would help, and pay attention to the screw sizes as they sometimes look similar in the documentation. I took me around an hour to do. Once build the desk has a slightly higher than normal height at its lowest point, but this could be brought down by not using the caster wheels. Full height is more than enough and I don’t typically bring it up that high (I’m 5’9), it remains sturdy at this height. Metalwork and the desktop appear to be a high quality. The desktop is thick enough for basic mounting of monitor arms etc. If you’re looking for a manual standing desk of reasonable size I would recommend you consider this.

Great sit/stand desk
I was worried this desk might not be of the best quality, given how expensive some other sit/stand desks are. However, this seems like a really good quality product. Everything feels solid and the crank system is simple and effective. No concerns about it holding my monitors and laptop with ease. Simple and quick(ish, about 30 seconds) to put up/down. Very happy and would recommend. Also with it being my first sit/stand desk, I'm very happy with the whole experience, having been unsure exactly how often I'd stand before I bought it.

Get one! Seriously Good.....
This is a brilliant desk. Fabulous quality for the money- really sturdy and BEAUTIFUL. I only have two CONS.... 1 is nothing to do with the product but is a frustrating aspect of the purchasing process- TNT delivery - they were utterly rubbish - took three attempts to get it despite me booking a delivery day online 2 is the fabulous gloss white desk top I have chosen. Believe me it is so beautiful BUT my cordless mouse doesn't work on it (I think another user reported this), so I have to cover the surface which kind of ruins the look. I could use a mouse mat. However, that's a bit of a design issue as I'm sure this desk is ordered by a lot of people who want it as a computer desk. Having said that, I'm not disappointed. It's great. Easy to assemble and you just feel the quality when you are putting it together. It cranks up and down nicely and doesn't feel like it is struggling at all - I think that is because the crank handle is at the side and cranks in line with the crank bar mechanism without having to make a 90 degree turn if the handle was at the front of the desk like a lot of models. The handle is also really good quality. My advice- just buy one? I have the charcoal base and white top and it looks the part! Post script- I have found out that I can buy a mouse that works on highly polished surfaces / glass - so I will get one of those and then I can reveal again my lovely glossy desktop.... so really only the delivery that was an issue..... :)) some time later - have a Logitech mouse now that works brilliantly on the gloss surface so no need to cover up its beauty now. I'm totally thrilled with this desk- it's a beautiful thing and it works! I'm speechless, it is so good. Best item I've ever bought on Amazon and I've bought a LOT! :)

Vale tutti i soldi spesi

Simple, straightforward and very very practical
I needed a desk on braked wheels so I could move it around the office as needed. It seemed as though the choices lay between a tilt top portable desk or something like this, and for the small amount of extra money, this sit to stand desk was a no-brainer. It ticks all the boxes for mobility, sturdiness and construction and the ability to use it in either the sitting or standing position is something we'll definitely take advantage of. Ten out of ten for this product.
