As dependable as gravity. The PiMag Aqua Pour can provide you with Nikken PiMag water no matter where you are. It's a portable waterworks - producing PiMag water without electricity or plumbing. The PiMag Aqua Pour features several stages of filtration. Water flows through a carbon medium, ion exchange resin and zeolite. Pi ceramics are in the filter, to impart "the water of life." Final stage filtration consists of a bed of mineral stones, like the stones that provide natural filtering and minerals in streams and rivers. Nikken Magnetic Technology completes the process, as the water passes through a charged field surrounding the Aqua Pour tap. The PiMag Aqua Pour is the most convenient way to have a supply of PiMag water at home, in the office, while traveling - practically anywhere.

This is a great product
I've been using it for years. You can TASTE the difference. I find that when I drink the water filtered and spun, I am less thirsty, and I want more of it, rather than conventional water filtration methods, plus it tastes good. This is from Nikken - "A unique feature of PiMag® Water Technology is the addition of pi minerals to the process. Pi water was originally discovered by Japanese scientists in the 1970s. Observation had suggested that the water from an isolated hillside stream had a remarkable effect on the plant life in the area. The scientists examined the environment and found that it contained an unusual collection of topographical features. The surrounding hills contained magnetite and calcium. The watercourse flowed over silicates, the material that forms natural crystal. The water from it was found to have an atypical combination of minerals, and was naturally alkaline. This alkalinity helps to balance the acidic diet and stress-induced acidity that is commonly experienced in modern life.Duplicating these conditions in the laboratory resulted in a form of this “pi water.” Magnetic technology was added, as a magnetic field assists in conditioning water without adding salt or other chemicals."I found this very cool test on Youtube and thought that it really shows how well it works, and they used the "mini" PiMag which doesn't have half the filtration of the full size. Check it out[...]As for the person commenting on being afraid to drink their tap water, come on get a grip, unless you live in the 3rd world you tap water is safe to drink, even if it doesn't taste very good and has some pollutants, it's never going to kill or even harm you, the air you breath is probably worse for you.PS - I am NOT a Nikken distributor, I just love the product.

Wish I could try it. No instructions
We have just opened the box and there are no instructions. All the pieces say to follow set up & instructions. To follow all preparation...... there are no prep instruction. I've been told some of these have to run water through for so many hours before you drink it. I hope to find something on line if amazon can't provide

Great idea, but I need a little proof...
I tasted this water at a bookstore, that also sold these devices and became immediately intrigued by taking a more active role in ensuring that I drink the safest water possible. For sure, filtering your own tap water is the most economical and greenest way to go, but very few companies will give you independent test results to let you know exactly what's being filtered and what isn't. After much research, I ended up purchasing the BerkeyLight system to ensure that my water is safe to drink (even in hostile conditions!)and I added the Nikken minerals/magnet "technology" to this system. I think this gives me the best of both worlds at a MUCH more affordable price. I can now make awful tasting San Diego tap water delicious. Also, I got some strips to measure the pH level of the tap water vs. what came out of my Berkey and the alkaline levels seem to change quite a bit. So, I think this Nikken system has some cool ideas worth trying, but I just don't think it's smart to trust my water purification/filtration process to a company that doesn't publish (independent)lab results, when this should be so easy for them to do.

Lab Results
I really appreciated all of the posts about filtration systems and feel like I've learned a lot. The Burkey is on my wish list, but currently own a Nikken Aqua Pour. I scored the system at my local goodwill and know a friend that swears by it. It wasn't until I got home and started doing some research on this product that I saw the mixed reviews on it. I learned A LOT about the importance of a lab report and non flouride water. But until I have the money to buy a Burkey Filter, I think the Nikken Aqua Pour is a good start.I did a bit more research and found the following lab results for the Nikken on garymbolton dotcom /pimag/korean_water_test. pdf & here a doc that states what ANSI/NSF Standard 42 and 53 are: same website but after dotcom /pimag/nsf_test. pdfIts data provided by an independent contractor for nikken, but looks ok to me.I find myself sitting in front of the water filter watching it drip. Can't wait for a drink!

Excellent product from Nikken
I purchased this product for my family over two years ago. No more rushing to the store to buy water at 10 pm at night, no more carrying around those 5gal containers; we love this filter...the payback on this products is just a few months so after two years we've saved hundreds of dollars and protected the environment as well; no more bottle water; my kids love drinking the water (you get used to the new fresh flavor in a week or less) and it's very low maintenance; it also looks very attractive on your kitchen cabinet. The filtered water is so high quality that even our new born baby was drinking it in his milk bottles; smart product for smart families; you just have to get used to re-filling the filter with a pitcher and cleaning it once a month; filter replacement is less than 30 bucks and you use about two a year, low maintenenace for unlimited water! Kuddos to Nikken

If it seems too good to be true it probly is
I wish I had known that the products from this seller are greatly reduced because they are similar to but not exactly as seen in the photograph. The product can be missing company logos, patented features that are important to it's function. But the company was extremely gracious in offering a refund and explaining the discrepances to me.

Weird?! Not worth it!
Overall the system is easy to use once you get it all assembled. I had a hard time believing a lot of the Nikken claims to this. My kids all thought it tasted weird. I periodically had to clean it all out. That was a pain with all the lava rocks. We ended up ditching the system.

Tastes good to me
I don't know just what this filter does, but the water tastes a lot better than from the tap. I've been using this for years now and I think it's totally worth the price.
