Light and strong and rain proof
Very nice 1 person tent, easy to assemble, good materials, good price, good quality. I am very happy with the purchase. I liked the color, and its fresh for clear night and also warm for the cold ones.

Works better than I thought
I am pleasantly surprised with this Bivy tent. It kinda saved my bacon on a hiking trip where we were planning to just use bivy bags. It ended up raining and the wind picked up. This little thing kept me dry and held up to moderate wind. It is pretty light-weight, easy to assemble and take down, and it's easy to strap to the side or bottom of a hiking pack. My one complaint is that it needs to be a a couple inches longer. I am 6'2" and my feet are squished against the walls if I lay straight.

Winter use backpacking Bivy tent
I use this tent as an emergency shelter on long hikes above treeline. Just big enough to be comfortable. Just light enough to carry on long hikes. For the price, this works for me. Easy to set up. I like that is opens from the side. Nice bivy for AT shelters.

Awesome 1.5 Person Tent!
April 24, 2016 (First use)Wow! Such a neat tent in such a small package.Super simple set up even for my first time pitching a non-freestanding tent.Looks awesome once its all set up.I was very surprised at how much room I had inside from side to side. Height clearance isn't really there though(as expected).I am 5'6, 170 pounds with wide shoulders...I was able to prop myself up on my elbow to do stuff inside the tent but could not sit up. This made rolling up my gear a pain, so I think I will stick with doing all that outside of the tent from now on (if weather permits). But even in this awkward position, I was still able to roll up two sleeping bags (one mummy, one standard) and my sleeping pad all well enough to fit in their stuff sacks.I was also able to keep my large backpacking pack inside the tent with me (at the head), which made my feet barely touch the end.A couple concerns I had were if the rain fly provided any kind of vestibule and if you could use this as a 1.5 person tent (fit a couple inside snugly).First: The rainfly did not really provide any vestibule other than to put my sneakers outside (leaning up against the tent). But I do plan on trying to manipulate how I install it next time to increase the size.Second: TBA... After trying it out by myself, I feel like I could fit my significant other inside with me without being too cramped. Will be testing soon.I spent the night in the mountains of New Mexico around 8,000 feet elevation. Temps got down to 44 F with some occasional wind gusts. The wind did not phase this tent one bit. And when I woke up, there was literally zero condensation inside, which was a great surprise. In the morning, it was very easy to break down and shake out (sand from one of my sleeping bags haha). The door position makes shaking out debris very easy and effective. Folding everything back into its original stuff sack was very easy as well.It was pretty obvious that this tent was made of very good quality materials and I was pretty happy with the purchase.May 3, 2016 (second use)THIS TENT CAN SLEEP TWO PEOPLE!!! Definitely a 1.5 person tent width wise...I took my significant other camping as promised and tested this out with two people... We are both 5'6 and we both workout (so neither are skinny), and not only did we fit, but we fit flat on our backs side by side comfortably and she had no complaints. How awesome is that!?!?We used two mummy bags (one Winterial and one SussieSport), no sleeping pads.I forgot to check the temps the next morning, but we woke up in snow. (2 nights later shows 29F low). And with this set up we were both very warm, comfortable with room, and had no significant condensation to complain about in the morning. The only moisture inside the tent in the morning I suspect was from the snow melting and seeping through the rainfly, BUT none of it came raining down on us as we got up and out of the tent - BIG plus!We did sort of cheat and use my truck to block the wind coming up the mountainside, so I can't comment on wind performance this time.Next up: Sand dunes camping. Will update as necessary!

ripped at specific location.
been hiking Backpacking, snow camping in AK. Plenty of miles in the Backcountry. used all kinds of gear. this my review of the winterial single person tent pros: price, lightweight (reasonably), design and plenty of space for me and gear. 6' tall. Cons only one it ripped away on the first set up on the left side @ pole loop. other note also so on the left side at bottom it had extra pole loop w/grommet. This for?. it was a little odd :) yes, i would suggest to a friend1 just be aware of the sticking. will comment on customer service. later

An Almost Perfect 1-person Tent
This light and easy to set up tent is very well made. The seams were strong on both the tent and the fly, and I could not find any hanging threads. The mosquito net kept all the bugs out.CON: I give 3 stars on durability. The only thing I could fault Winterial on with this tent is that the poles are made out of aluminum. Aluminum is fine until you accidentally bend one. I would have given durability 5 stars if the poles were made out of something less fragile such as fiberglass or carbon-fiber.I am 6'5" and 280 pounds. I slept very comfortably. There is plenty of room for me and all my gear I did not keep in my car (I kept my shoes outside the tent door under the rain fly). However, there is NO room left over. If you are as big as I am, I would not recommend planning to change clothes inside the tent. A smaller person could, perhaps, but not me.As you can see from the photo, with the fly open, there is a good view of the scenery.I like that the tent itself is all mosquito net, giving an unobstructed view of the scenery. Though it did not rain, I put the fly on for privacy.I got this with a Winterial Lightweight Self-inflating Sleeping Pad (AISN B01BEPT6K4), which is also well made.I used the Bessport Tent Footprint Basic1p-tarp 90.5"L x 39.3"W (AISN B07V5HS2KZ) and it was a perfect fit. I went to WalMart to get 4 pegs for the footprint.I had a lot of fun with this kit. I plan to use it again very soon and many time in the future.

It keeps me dry
I like the light weight, perfect for back packing. It packs very small and is easy to take along. It fits one person, I am 5'7", 145 lbs and I had enough room to store my empty back pack at and under my feet, with the contents placed around it. The rainfly creates a small dry area for hiking boots. My problem is that I am claustrophobic and with the rain fly closed during the rain it's anxiety causing. I call it my "coffin" tent. Another problem: there is not enough head space to sit up, one has to stick ones head outside the door in order to sit. Changing clothes in the "coffin" is a contortion exercise. Nevertheless I used it on several backpacking trips and it kept me dry during rain as an emergency shelter. Without rainfly it is very airy and keeps mosquitoes and other animals out. If it doesn't rain I sleep under the stars. I am still drooling over the big Agnes lightweight tents but the price difference for the few times I do go backpacking it's not worth it. I can recommend this tent to people who don't suffer from claustrophobia.

Good Small Tent
Nothing special, but this tent does what it's supposed to do. I bought it mainly as a lightweight tent for backpacking. Seems to be well put together, pretty similar quality to my other tents. But of course much smaller (although still comfortable inside, with enough space to store some clothes, toiletries kit, plus GPS and other gear you want to keep inside your tent) and much lighter to pack. I've never used it in rain, so can't comment how it sheds water and stays dry inside. As with any other of my tents, I use a tarp for a groundsheet--the floor material of this tent is especially thin.

Surprisingly good quality
If you're 5'9" or taller this tent will be damn near impossible to get in and out of lol. Its not very water proof. But it's decent for the price and its lightweight and small when packed

Great product
I bought this bevy three summers ago. I thought for the price I would try it and I have been so happy with it. It’s light weight and durable and has just enough room to store your clothes for the next day and have a good sleep. I recommend it highly!

Great Lil Tent
Don't expect to be moving all your luggage into this tent, but you can probably get your liquor bottle and baggy of drugs into this tent with you. I've spent many summer nights in this lil doozy. I love it. I'm 6'2 @ 180 pounds and it fit great. I woulnd't want to be much taller, or this tent might not hold me.The morning Sun can heat this thing up like a potato in a microwave, so make sure you are in the shade !!!!So far its a great tent. I'm thinking of buying a hammock to place this tent on top and turn it into a hammock tent ! :)
