Simple, it works, better for the environment.
This is a great replacement for that idiotic “environmentally-friendly” system that was devised years ago. That environmentally friendly system actually spilled gas. And I can’t imagine someone with one arm using that system. This spout takes us back to where we were before somebody fixed something that wasn’t broken.

New spout fits and pours way better than EPA spout!
Like that it fits my old 5 gallon can and has a bend in it to pour.Like that it came with all the parts I needed and some I didn't need.The spout fit with the can's original spout nut, which I wanted to use because it has a locking ratchet.Like that there are no leaks at the attachment when pouring.Did not like the cap's tether because it hangs when pouring and gets in the way. So I don't use the tether.Happy trails!

Not a bad spout, but keep the vent.
I used this to replace the totally unusable spout on my 2.5 gallon polypropylene gas tank. It comes with 2 different thread caps, a good thing. I like the fact that spout cap won’t get lost, and an added plus is that it is threaded too. The vent plug however is a mystery to me as to how it will ever stay in place. If I drill a hole in the tank to use it, there isn’t any kind of ridge to keep it from popping out. Ever try to glue polypropylene? The cap for the vent appears to be next to impossible to snap shut as well. Rather than ruin the gas can, I chose to not use the vent plug. The spout itself looks like it might have a short life under heavy use, but will work fine for my purpose. I think this would be better if it had been made to reverse the spout and shove it into the tank, with a solid cover cap like we used to have in the “old days”

Great "Solution"
Very frustrated that I couldn't find a plastic gas container anymore without spouts that had extra tabs, switches, tubes, etc that required 3 hands to operate.....or so it seems. This fit perfectly on an old one gallon plastic container for which I simply needed a spout that didn't leak. Inexpensive solution, ordered easily and arrived promptly. Thanks!

Work better than other spouts
I have had trouble finding new spouts and replacement spouts that do not leak around bottom of spout when pouring gas. Must have tried many types to the point of thinking of starting a small hardware store. This one actually works. I know, doesn't look like it would, but it does. I now replace all my expensive store-bought spouts that come with gas casn with these spouts.

Not worth it
Avoids the pain in the neck safety spout. You have to drill an air vent to facilitate flow. Vent leaks when traveling. Spout is awkward especially with hanging screw top. You have to finagle scree top out of way when pouring. You end up spilling. Only a little easier than those safety leak proof mandated spouts Price is inexpensive. Otherwise I would have returned.

EC Depot Universal Replacement Gas Can Spout (Improved Design)
Thankfully, someone is still making spouts that aren’t those new “safe” designs that take 4 people to operate and still spill gas on your shoes. This spout fit my cans fine and is holding up great. I’d happily buy them again.

Not good product
It did not work it tore up and it was not a good product I don't have the full back couple Days Inn in the top of it your spit into so sorry it was not a good product I do not recommend it to anyone
