This nori product is of extremely high quality
I enjoy eating nori after pouring boiling hot water over it and waiting for it to dissolve while the temperature slowly cools off. This nori has no salt or sugar added to it, which makes it even healthier for us to eat.In scientific studies, real populations of real people who ate nori had lower death rates from cancer, apparently because nori contains beneficial phytochemicals which block the cancer-causing effect of estrogens. Scientific studies also say that (1)foods made from soybeans, (2)ground flaxseeds, and (3)chia seeds contain phytoestrogens which block the cancer-causing effect of (1)human estrogens, (2)natural animal-source estrogens, and (3)synthetic, man-made estrogens (injected into dairy cows and injected into egg-laying hens).Interestingly, nori (laver), ogo (limu), and dulse are classified as "red" seaweeds. "Red" seaweeds are classified as plants. Meanwhile, "brown" seaweeds such as kombu (kelp), arame (kelp), mozuku (kelp), limu moui (kelp), hijiki, wakame, and mekabu (wakame) are all classified as chromalveolates, not plants.Chromalveolates have rootlike structures which cling to the ocean bottom but do not suck up nutrients like true plant roots. "Brown" seaweeds (Kingdom Chromalveolata) always abundantly contain the beneficial marine carotenoid, fucoxanthin, the beneficial marine polysaccharides, fucoidan and laminarin, the beneficial marine fiber, alginate, and the beneficial marine polyphenols, phlorotannins. Meanwhile, nori, which is a "red" seaweed (Kingdom Plantae), contains the beneficial carotenoids, lutein, zeaxanthin, violaxanthin, neoxanthin, and beta-carotene. (pro-vitamin A).

Thick sheets, low level of flaking, no tearing when rolling sushi.Nagai Deluxe Sushi Nori, 50 count = https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007U29UYS/These are a thinner version of the One Organic. Resealable package with oxygen absorber. Medium thickness sheets means moderate amount of flaking and frequent tearing when rolling sushi.100 sheets by Wando Myungga = https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VY99OXU/These are extremely thin. Non-resealable package with no oxygen absorber. Sheets so thin, they tear in half just pulling them out of the package, lots of flaking debris everywhere, always tearing when rolling sushi. It’s also a different color and flavor than the above two options.

Great for Making Sushi
Here is my video review of the Nagai Deluxe Sushi Nori. I just wanted to note because some reviewers have expressed concern: the statement about the nori containing chemicals that have been known to cause cancer in California is pretty meaningless. It is essentially found on absolutely everything that is sold in that state. I guess they're just trying to teach us that everything causes cancer. Thanks, California.I give this nori four stars because it isn't perfect. I only give five to items I think are perfect. I don't like that you sometimes get one or two sheets that are unusable. Other than that, the flavor and texture are great! If you have any questions, please let me know!

best nori we've had since leaving Japan
I think that says it all. My husband and I spent three years in Japan, and this is the best nori we've found since returning to the States.

best nori for bento boxes!
Best I have used to make my daughters bento boxes for school! Sticks really well and holds everything together. It’s thick and strong enough to where it doesn’t tear while I’m creating her lunch. They are also dark enough to look black for my bentos and stays in place all through lunch. Taste better then previous nori I purchased in the past. My daughter actually eats these so that’s a big plus, before she use to peel them off. I will only purchase this brand for now on.

Reminds me of childhood.
Pros: Great taste, cheap, low calorie snack.Cons: None!Bottom line: If you’ve ever had Korean or Japanese food this is a staple and this brand by far produces the best Nori I’ve ever had!My mother is Korean and I remember growing up eating Nori and rice every day. My mother passed when I was seven years old and this always brings back good memories.Flavor:Flavor is the most important factor for me. I’ve had some copious amounts of Nori in my life, some that miss the rich flavors of roasted seaweed and some of them that just down right suck. This one has a perfect balance of sweet and salty.Rollability:If you like making sushi rolls or Korean kimbap this Nori is great. It’s very easy to roll with a bamboo roller, it does not crack as easily as other brands.Shelf life and texture:The bag is resealable, great for keeping it from going stale. I’ve had a single bag last me over a month with the flavor and crispiness unblemished. The crispy texture is one of the best parts about this Nori for me, I like it when it has that satisfying crisp.Price:I have gone to many Asian grocery stores and loaded up my cart with many various brands of Nori and this one is one of the cheapest. At 50 sheets for about $9 this is about as good as it gets. With the balance of great taste and great price this is a steal. How I eat it:I prefer to eat it the way my mom would make it for me: Cut it into small strips, take a piece, add rice and eat. Because of the way I eat it, it puts more of an emphasis on the flavor of the seaweed because there are no other flavors to contest it, making it paramount that it taste good. It’s also a great alternative to eating chips, just break off a piece and enjoy. When I’m not lazy, I like to make kimbap (Korean sushi roll) especially if I’m cooking for friends or family; they always love it!
