The Little giant submersible direct drive fountain pumps are great while they work. They have a 2 year warranty. My experience over the last 16 years using them is that they typically die between 2 1/2 to 3 years. They are great while they work!

never gets clogged

I have replaced 3 of these in about 14 months. The last one came today and was dead on arrival, motor was locked up. The previous one had an internal short that put 3 to 5 VAC into the water and kept tripping the GFI. The one prior to that just died. I called the manufacture and was told that I had to go to the seller for warrantee, but because I can't find the receipt, I loose.

Installed it in box in pond (220 gal) and it works like a charm! No problems with set up.

If you need a pump go giant the other brands are a lot weeker it’s not the same , the giant product is the best quality

I had previously ordered this pump and it worked very well for my small pond. The extra filter helped my pond be more clear than I've seen it in years. So I ordered an additional pump just in case the first one died.

Why does the shaft for the fountain need to be a different size? I bought this pump to replace my smaller older little giant pump that just recently started stopping. And ended up having to run and get parts to reduce the size of the nipple!! The pump isn't a whole lot bigger than my old one? Anyhow, aside from that it's great and pumps well in my koi pond. Pushes the fountain great and the waterfall. I bought another little giant brand because our old one lasted so many years.......

was unsure if it was a used one, plugged it in the motor runs but does not pump the water..
