Christmas Reality
This story brings out the true meaning of Christmas. Love is the greatest gift. If only we believe in the greatest gift ever given…….Jesus Christ dying on the cross because he loved us all. Loved us more than life itself. Saved us all from our sins. This book depicts that story in todays times. Merry Christmas! Thanks for the greatest gift of all!

Brings back sweet memories of growing up. Well written, easy read. What a meaningful book that could heal in this day and age. The true Christmas message. Would re-read. Passing on to others.

Pleasantly Surprised
The Christmas Sweater by Glenn Beck was worth the wait of the book I had preordered. I could not put the book down, having to read it from cover to cover with no interuptions. It reminded me of my own childhood. We were taught by my father what was important not by what was said but more by what wasn't said. It should be read by old and yound alike, espeially the younger generation as they need to know why they never feel fulfilled. I hear so many say a gift only last a few minutes for kids these days. They need to know why. This book is the why and finding out why it is the way it is. This would be the best gift under everyone's tree and for everyone to read. My husband is one of twelve that grew up with just the necessities and I know each of them will thoroughly enjoy the book. People now a days want to give their children everything. But those materialist things are why those gifts are very easily forgotten in such a short time. This is one of the best gifts to be able to give in a long time since it was just written for others to share the actual joy and meaning of Christmas. Us older ones grew up in hard times, but we are not freaking out in today's economical crisis as we grew up when pennies were few and far between and can make them stretch these days. A lot of kids today pitch pennies on the floor or ground as they are a bother to even carry and don't mean anything to them. Maybe if they could go back in time with this book, they would know why older people shake their heads as back then there was a saying "A penny saved is a penny earned". I often say I was so much better off back then and say I was born too late in this world. We worked physically a lot harder, but things were a lot simpler back then and people were more pleased with a lot less.

Hope in troubled times!
It's now 2:00 am and I just finished your novel, The Christmas Sweater. I read it in one sitting--the first time in a long time, if ever, that I've done that. But I couldn't go to bed without first thanking you for such a wonderful gift that you have shared with all who will read your book with an open heart. Honestly, I expected to shed a few tears. I relate very well with you emotionally, and will frequently tear up while listening to your radio and TV programs. But I didn't expect the flood of tears that I experienced in the last chapters of your book! I think the only other times that I have cried like that were the first time that I watched It's a Wonderful Life when I was in my early 20's, and pretty much every time that I watch the final scene of Testaments--Of One Fold and One Shepherd! Oh yeah, and also the final scene of States of Grace where Elder Ferrell sobs while holding the 'baby Jesus'. I can't wait to see your stage show on Dec. 6 in Salt Lake! If the surprise at the end is what I suspect it will be, I better bring a whole roll of paper towels!Thank you most profoundly for sharing your story. Without doubt it is going to touch hundreds of thousands of lives! I had already planned on giving copies of your book as gifts to several people for Christmas, but now I'm going to have to buy even more! I originally ordered a copy from Amazon.com, but when I found out that it wasn't expected to arrive until Nov. 17th, I stopped at a bookstore and picked up a second copy today because I couldn't wait that long. I rejoice to see that it has been #1 on Amazon's Contemporary Fiction list for 3 days now (and beating out Stephen King!) I rejoice in your success! God Bless you, Glenn!

Heartbreaking, Then Heartwarming
I'm a sucker for Christmas books, especially well-written ones that tug at the heart strings. Alas, those type of books are harder to come by than one might think...Fortunately, Glenn Beck's The Christmas Sweater is, by far, the most moving, realistic and redemptive holiday story I've ever read.I bought this book on Amazon "sight unseen" as it were. When it arrived, the iridescent snowflakes on the cover glittered around the frame of the boxed red Christmas sweater. At first, it was the tight, vivid writing that kept me firmly planted in my seat, but after tragedy hits in the first few chapters, I couldn't put this book down.Yet...it was difficult for me to read after that. It became almost depressing. Surely, I thought, this story has some kind of redemption? Some ray of hope for the angry, disillusioned, and grief-stricken boy?The pay-off came late in the book, but it was well worth it. I'll not spoil the story (what good would that do?), but suffice to say that The Christmas Sweater is a heartfelt book that closely resembles Glenn Beck's life. I was moved to tears at the end, grateful that Mr. Beck had the courage to be so transparent--and to offer humanity such a lovely gift as this novel.I passed The Christmas Sweater on to my husband to read (he's taking it to work to read during his lunch break) and will be giving my Mom a copy for Christmas, too. I believe time spent reading this book--and contemplating its hopeful, inspiring message--will enrich your holiday season. But, even if you don't celebrate Christmas, the message of treasuring what you have and choosing to play wisely the cards you are dealt in life transcends belief, culture, and social status.Janet Boyer, author of The Back in Time Tarot Book

Really good
I was told about this book and didn't think it was my type of usual read, however, from the very first page I was hooked and read this in one day! Its a moving story that no one can get away from and not remember when they see this title again. Life is short, and its more noticeable when you reach the end of this book, well worth a read
