Not bad for what you pay
first off this review is for both the rifle and the pistol unless stated separately and i didnt buy this to actually shoot with (although i did test it and it does fire) i bought it for a halloween costume and it serves that purpose great so here are the pros and consPros: it shoots mostly accurate, comes with a bag of ammo, the flashlight works great, all moving parts work great also, and most everything clicked together just fineCons: the magazine for the rifle is hard to remove and insert and im afraid to continue doing so of fear of breaking the magazine and probably the biggest (and funniest) problem is on both guns the safty switch is backwards the guns will fire when the switch is flipped to safety and lock the trigger when the switch is flipped to any other modeAll in all 4/5 or 8/10

Worth the money but some plastic parts are flimsy.
The pistol (1911) is rather hard to cock but my son was able to do it by himself, he just has to really focus on it. Though the pistol does feel rather cheap, it does work. The sites are off but it seems to be pretty consistent. The rifle (M4) is pretty cool and matches my real M4 pretty closely, even down to the adjustable stock. My son was very excited to receive these as a Christmas present and they were his favorite this year. They seem worth the money but he hasn't used them enough to determine the true build quality.

Disapointing, like my life.
Out if the box...meh. As someone familiar with both the M-4 and the 1911, they fell vaguely like one would expect; the charging handle, selector switch ( more on that in a minute), magazine release are all where they should be. For an eight year old it's probably fine, except the charging handle is difficult to engage, which is probably what makes the one redeeming quality of the rifle...velocity. There is sufficient velocity to break my wife's new outdoor planter from 80 feet, plus if your using Dad's upturned wheel barrow as a back stop, the bb's can bounce back several feet. Luckily the kid is using my old ballistic helmet and goggles while target practicing. Little heavy for his thin neck, but hey, I had to get used to the weight too, so buck it up buttercup! The rifle has to be charged each time you fire a bb. Which is why it's weird to have a selector switch, which has " safe, fire, and auto" indicated. I suppose this is fine for the kid, don't need him mowing down the little squirrels and birdies in the yard anyway, but I can imagine he'll get frustrated with it very quickly. The construction is pretty flimsy, at 6'2" 225 ( svelte, athletic....back in the day that is) , I felt like I was going to snap the thing in two. I guess teaching the youngest how to butt strike someone is out. I'd worry about plastic slivers in his hands. It is, after all, a toy. Was hoping to use it as a training tool for the upcoming apocalypse though. Guess I'll have to break down and get him that AK he's being asking for. It's got a bayonet already attached and he'll need to get used to the recoil eventually anyhow.

Great rifle good pistol
Rifle is great. It is accurate and fast. Fast loading too. Pistol is only just good because it is a slow loader you have to put in one bullet at a time. It is accurate though. In a battle I️ would choose the rifle because you can run and load at the same time. The pistol is a great backup though

Awesome
Great guns work good me and my friend were bored and decided to get these to play around and have wars with others and they work good they hurt when you get hit close up bare skin or through thin clothing but not too bad fun for wars and work great the rifle does start to curve when your shooting from a distance but they are great for wars and for the price highly recommended

Our kid enjoys them
Got this for our son for his birthday. Decided we would start with a lower priced one and see if he likes it. Works fine for target practice for him. He loved getting 2 different ones to shoot with. Single shot as in have to pull charging handle (on the rifle) after each shot (which we wanted so he didn't go overboard). Magazine on the rifle holds a lot of ammo. Handgun holds I believe 15 shots and yes have to re-cock after every shot. Good one for his first one.
