I read the 1st Fasting book by PJF annually or as often as needed to break any error or wrong mindsets. Didn’t know why I felt led to read this 2nd Fasting book until that last chapter on removing the quit option. THAT was it. Lord help me. Thank you PJF!

I can tell you...I suggest you choose either the book w/ DVD OR the journal, but NOT both. They both repeat the same things over & over, very annoying. The books are both quite good & very encouraging to read during a fast... but the 2 are too similar. Just choose one, between the two.But the Fasting Edge- that's my favorite of the 3. It doesn't repeat all the same stuff as the other 2 books either.All of the books are very inspiring & encouraging. It's a very easy read, all of them are. It's not painful to read, you know how some books can be... it's easy & hard to stop reading, in fact. I really appreciate his constant encouragement & his love for the Lord & for fasting. His real heart comes through, and he doesn't seem like somebody trying to sell us on some 'get rich quick' scheme... not at all... and he makes that quite clear. These books are full of all the Biblical examples of fasting, and I like that too. It also includes testimonials of God blessing people who've fasted, just as He'd promised.I'm on my 10th day of a water only/ Daniel fast. On the days I'm home, I do water only, but if I have to drive a long way & don't want to wreck, I do the Daniel fast. I keep a separate (blank) journal to record my fasting journey & God has already answered 5 smaller prayer requests. I'm committed to fast 43 days, and then some, until He answers those much-needed prayers I pray on behalf of my husband, and his much-needed mercy & soul-revival. -Glory to God!!Bless you all as you seek Him FIRST in your life through fasting & prayer!!

I was introduced to this book by a sermon I had heard about fasting and the book. I purchased this book as an audio book because at the time I was traveling extensively with my work. It was worth the purchase. Understanding fasting from a biblical perspective has been a godsend. I was going through so much stress with my job that I felt it was bordering on a lack of faith and trust in God's leading. After "reading" the book I decided to try a three day juice only fast. The change was remarkable. I learned complete trust in God's leading in my life. Immediately I calmed down, I was a changed person. I was fasting to know God's will for my life. I had been so worried because I felt that I was going to loose my job but when it finally happened it didn't bother me at all. What a change from the fear that I once had to a complete trust in God's will for my life. Now I know 1/2 of God's will for my life; I know where He doesn't want me to work! Now to find out the other part of God's will for my life. Biblical fasting historically has brought so many miracles to God's people. I am now looking for the same miracles in my walk with God. Thank you Pastor Franklin. God sent your book to me at the right time. I have introduced it's teachings to the church members of my church and we are experiencing many miracles. God bless.

This is the second copy of this book that I ordered so I could share it.

After reading that book my thoughts regarding fasting has changed. I have read Jentzen first other book on fasting I was hungry and motivated, dedicated to fast for Jesus. And i did fast the results was endless. Now that i bought fastign Edge last year but didn't have a chance ro read due to a 7months training of the Army, now that i have time i just finished reading it in two days. What i found was mesmerizing, unbelievable, the knowledge was immense and provocative. In conclusion it made fasting become a second hand nature to me. I want to fast more than ever. The author was direct, precise, to the core of everything . I didn't regret, i highly recommend if your about to fast to grab this book for you won't regret. It help guide you and you will be much more enlightened before making careless mistake or tske lightly fasting. Glory to Jesus and thank you Jentzen franklin.

I have both the book format and the audio CD format of this wonderful book. The audio CD format is really well read, and easy to follow, if you prefer your book in audio CD format. The hardcover book is equally easy to follow, and I have enjoyed both.The minister who authored the book has his church congregation do a 21 day fast at the beginning of every year. They find that the intentions they are praying for during this 21 day fast are almost always answered by God -- if not right way, they are answered later in the year.I find the knowledge and inspiration you can obtain from this book in combining your fasting with prayer absolutely WONDERFUL. I will read/listen to this book often. Highly recommended. It helped me through my last 26 day fast!

I would highly recommend this book if you want a deeper encounter with God though the discipline of fasting..this book is very practical and uses the word of guide as the foundation. I was able to sucessfully go on a 21 day fast last year from reading Jentezen Franklin first book on Fasting...this book continues to build on that giving you the edge that you need to make fasting a part of your life. I read at least 12 books a months and I'm not real quick to recommend or write a review but I highly recommend this book - it's an investment...I would also recommend his 1st book on fasting as well..what you thought you could not do in the natural this book shows you that by the grace of God you can. I am again on a 21 day fast and I thank God for this book that has really helped me to get past the sound of my stomach to hear the sound of heaven...Powerful, annoited - Blessings and you sharpen your edge and allow God to do great things your life through the power of fasting.

Awesome book. Great addition after the first one.

I am now addicted to fasting. From a person that never fasted or knew how to fast. This book is an excellent tool full of insights backed up with scriptures.

This booking has helped really understand the power of fasting and also the temptations one faces and how to overcome them through the power of God's Word and prayer. I am so blessed and thankful that Pastor Franklin for writing this book.

This book really opens up your eyes to the power of fasting. It helps you understand that it's not just about abstaining from food, but allows you to fully open your spirit before God. It certainly helped me get back my edge!

This book takes you another level higher. Sometimes we have lost our spiritual sharpness. This book highlights it and give you the ammunition to achieving a sharper edge with God.
