Avermedia Technology Live Streamer Mic, 3.5mm Unidirectional Shotgun Microphone, for DSLR, Mobile, Vlog, Streaming, Podcasting (AM133)

This mic has a lot more pleasing rich bass in my voice and more detail in the mids and highs. I thought it was better than the Movo VRX10. Most mic preamps for this kind of mic suck so you need to get a good preamp else it won't sound that good but it's not the mic. The GoPro MediaMod mics are a letdown. This sounds like an expensive mic with GoPro MediaMod preamps. Avermedia has some really good gear and this is on that list of their gear to buy with the PW513 (also check out the Aver Cam340 and Cam340+ for 120-degree lens) webcam.

I got this microphone as a complement to my avermedia webcam to improve my video conferencing quality. I admit the audio is far better than that captured by the webcam, or by my BT headset. It's warmer, more natural, and very clear.The problem I have with this is that it's not really unidirectional. I work from home in a small apartment so there's always some noise coming from the other room, someone listening to music, or opening and closing doors etc. The mic pics everything up, from any angle, which i guess in some case it's a good thing, but not for my usecase.Also note that the connection is with a 3.5mm jack, so if you plan to use it on a laptop, make sure that it has the proper connector, or get an adapter.

Audio quality noticeably better than the Rode, and in fact good enough to replace my larger and more expensive podcast mic. Little table stand is perfect. I’m quite happy with this!

its a good mic! a ;ittle quiet at first but fixed the problem!

This is quite an annoying product - whilst it has great sound when your mouth is directly over it, you literally have to be right on it for the other person to hear. I bought this together with the Avermedia 2+ and its been a nightmare to get it all working. I ended up giving up and selling the microphone and the capture card and getting another brand!
