In the Mouth of the Wolf Paperback – March 15, 1992

The book took off slowly. I was not much enamored with the main character. However as she grew and matured she became the character you pulled for, were proud of, and wished you knew her as a friend. Her time in hiding was exciting, and very educational.

Very interesting all the way through the twists and turns of this true account by a gutsy, resourceful survivor. I was sad that her parents and sister perished, but glad that her brother and fiance managed to survive the Nazi horrors.

I had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen next. Sometimes it blows my mind that this actual happened. I wanted to read this book because Rose and her husband settled in my hometown.

Well written, exciting, great true story!

Great reading of terrible era ins history.

Mrs. Zar was my neighbor growing up. While I knew she and her husband had lived through the holocaust, the adventurous life described is almost beyond imagining. Worth a re-read.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Rose Zar was a very corageous woman who beat the Nazis at their own game. She was very shrewd andd did what she had to do to survive.

We had a copy of this book, signed by the author, which my kids lost. (Grrrr.) We liked it enough to buy it again, even though we have all already read it.

This was a very good book so well written,the author got by on her wits,probably saved her life, a book that was difficult to put down.

Watched her testimony on youtube. Great read.
