I LOVE this book. It gives you lots of fun exercises to do and really challenges. One of the most liked textbooks we use in our French class.

Excellent Book.

I have just returned from Paris, and purchased this series of workbooks. A1, A2, B1, B2. They are the best instruction I've found. I recommend them highly. I'm a French teacher, and believe that the phrases are interesting, and encompass an array of subjects within the short set of exercises.

You need to study grammar in the language you are learning so you also learn the grammatical terms in the new language. As with many grammar workbooks, this one does not provide enough space for answers.

My eyesight is good but normal-size print with a heavier font would be more pleasant to read. There is not much space to write answers. If you expect to fill out the workbook rather than use a separate notebook to record answers, you may be disappointed. You can squeeze your answers into the workbook if you write in the margins. I think the exercises are useful for beginners, but I didn't enjoy the cramped layout. As an A1 beginner you will need a translation program for any instructions that aren't self-explanatory. The instructions for each exercise are in French.
