Takes the punishment from an arthritic shoulder
The cheap recoil pad on my shotgun got hard with age. This is a great replacement. Very soft and spongy for a recoil pad. Good for repetive trapshooting.

Great recoil pad
This worked great on my Khan shotgun, we just have to be careful sanding down to your stock so you don't damage your stock finish. I put tape on as I saw on You tube but a power sander can cut through that in a hurry, so just be careful.

Trap model is harder than the regular
Was going to put this on my 20 gauge youth 870 to replace the hard as steel factory pad. Well i didnt waste my time as the trap model of limbsavers grind to fit pad was nearly as hard, a decent bit harder than their classic version pad. Returned it. Since limbsaver in their infinite "wisdom" doesnt make a precision fit airtechbpad fit THE best, hands down most widely sold and owned shotgun their is, the Remington 870 express, (idiotic on their part IMO) i went with the airtech slip on pad because its much softer, reduces more recoil.

Easy to do
This is very straight forward to grind down an make fit perfectly. Just take your time, it will come out great. One of the easiest upgrades to do.

Take care, not too fast.
Very good recoil reduction. I have installed many other recoil pads, these are very good.One caution, the recoil absorption material is soft, be careful when grinding it. It doesn’t grind as well as the hard plastic backing and you will end up with a “puffy” look. It also wants to separate from the backing material if you get it too hot, go slower than with other pads. I used 120 grit and went slower when I got close. I couldn’t touch it with a vibrating sander, too much give. Make sure to go lengthwise to avoid the separation.

Used small table sander to shape the pad. Rubber responded well

Very nice recoil pad. Highly recommend
I highly recommend this recoil pad for anyone looking to do a recoil pad upgrade. It sanded down nicely without to much trouble. The screw holes lined up perfectly. It fits me and my 12ga over & under well, much better than a slip-on airtech pad that has a little play and movement. I can shoot 100+ rounds and not have any pain in my shoulder.
