Houdini: The Handcuff King (Center for Cartoon Studies Presents)

This short story evolves around a certain performance from Houdini. Just that performance and the few hours before and after. Even if the art was of heart stopping beauty (which is not) that one event is not enough interesting as to write a book about it and it can't show anything about Houdini. The introduction actually told a lot more than the story itself.Don't be lured by the names of geniuses like Lutes and Sturn on the cover. It's a waste of time and money.

My grandson needed this book for summer reading for school.

My daughter loves Houdini so we added this to her collection of books about him. She liked it.

This amazing little book will give you great insight into the life (and wife) of Houdini, and actually has a page-turning plot. I have a 10-year-old grandson who loves magic, seemed familiar with Houdini ... and what I appreciate most is the fact that we can sit down and enjoy the book together because it contains no offensive language as "adult" theme comic books so often do. BTW, you can judge this book by its wonderful cover.

The service getting the book was very good. My problem is that I didn't understand that it was a comic book. This wasn't what I expected. I could have been described a little better.
