The media could not be loaded.  Great quality. You can tell it is actually hand blown, miniscule imperfections make it all the more legit. The etching is beautiful (shines silver with my camera flash). There is more detail in the ship than I imagined. The sails are opaque which is a great contrast. I only wish they had used any color other than red on the flags/hull; it tends to disappear when submerged in whiskey. (Would probably look really cool in Vodka, too bad I'm a whiskey gal.) The included 'cleaning tips' card was useful. The 2 glasses matched etching perfectly. (Don't freak if you see little bubbles on the etching after cleaning, wipe the outside with a soft microfiber cloth and they will come off. It is simply the etching retains water longer than the glass, so the outline of the water/white vinegar solution you used to clean will dry as a little ring over the etching. Removes with ease.) As you can see in my video, the stand was pretty stable, felt secure to fill alone. If the slight swinging momentum the moving liquid generates makes you nervous, you could cradle in your lap to fill. If you already have your own steel ice, the included 8 piece steel ice cubes with tongs would work as a separate gift; it has its own fancy little box shipped along with. There is no way this item could break in shipping (unless the entire box was crushed). The globe itself came surrounded in Styrofoam -as the rest of the items- but had an added layer of packing foam. Included funnel was handy, will work with regular flasks as well. I purchased mine when it went on flash sale for $48. All-in-all a great buy, no regrets!

It exceeded my expectations

Got this for my brothers graduation. I searched for one that wasn’t cheaply made and this looked even more beautiful when we opened the box. Very classy and high quality. I like the glass stopper instead of a cheap brass/gold. The details on this were not designer quality with fancy embellishments or anything, but whoever crafted this made sure there was nothing cheap looking anywhere on the product.

I bought this on Black Friday sale as a gift. On sale, it's a nice decanter for the price and will make a nice gift.

I was so worried that it would be broken in the box when it arrived, it wasn’t as it was packed secure and tight.This decanter is stunning with all the class I hoping for.The details of the ship are amazing, I’m so very pleased with this purchase and highly recommend it.

Product description is misleading. Despite boasting of being “complete with every accessory you would need” and stating that whiskey stones and tongs are included, these are not in fact part of the package. There’s not even any space in the styrofoam packaging for these extra bits.When this was brought to the attention of Amazon, the response we got was that we could only obtain a full refund upon return of the product. No, the missing parts could not be sent separately to us. No, a partial refund was not possible. And no reason was given for why these other solutions could not be proffered or explored at all.One wonders whether the “missing parts” even exist at all.At least the decanter itself was actually included in the package that arrived. Feel free to order this to get a decanter, but I wouldn’t put much stock in anything else the company is representing to consumers. If they can’t even guarantee that basic components of the package will arrive, who is to say that the rest of their claims of their product being custom made, airtight, lead free, and meeting FDA norms would hold any water (or whiskey) at all?
