I give this to my birds every other night. My african grey likes to pluck his feathers and I feel this stops him from doing that so much. He really has grown out more feathers since giving this to him.

So far it seems like it's helping my macaw with her feathers but only time will tell!

One of my conures has been plucking her feathers since she turned 2, she's now 19. She's been vet checked and had all blood work come back unremarkable. Truly believe it's a hormonal thing, but I also think she does it if she doesn't get enough attention.I've tried Hemp Well, Avi-Calm (along with Fearherific) plus another supplement like Avi-Calm (but name escapes me.)For 2 years, did quite well on Avi-Calm with Fearherific, hardly plucked at all. Then suddenly she plucked her chest and legs bald overnight. I scrambled for other things to try, like the Hemp Well, but really didn't seem to matter.I came across this Missing Link Powder and decided to give it a try. I've been putting it on her food for a couple of weeks now. She looks really good, though I know she's still plucking some. I'm hoping maybe alternating between these supplements will help.Thus far my only complaint is the ziplock style bag is NOT suited for this powder. My bag would absolutely NOT close after opening the bag because of caked-on powder. I ended up cutting the seals off and clipping the bag shut. Excellent ingredients. I give each parrot a small amount on top of their chop and they will eat it. Just too early to tell if it has made a difference yet.

I buy Harris pellet food and add some peanut butter sprinkled some of this on and run it through a mini food processor. Just to blend everything together and the pellet food is really hard so they stay pretty solid. The peanut butter adds protein and added flavor as well as keeping the vitamins stuck to the food. My bird won't eat anything else she loves it. This is what my vet recommended it is a complete balanced diet. She loves the taste. It lasts me a year keeping it in the freezer. And it's very simple to use.

This in combo with zoo med saved my bird. All of my birds (1 canary, 2 parakeets) went into a hard winter molt but my female parakeet didnt come out of it. She had a weird dark build up on her cere, lost weight, and her feathers werent coming back in. She was looking really really bad. Within two days of adding this to her diet she is looking like her old self again and her cere has cleared up. It looks a little dry but normal. I feed zupreem pellets and all of my birds seem to be thriving with the additional supplements.I did have a vet appt scheduled, it was a 2-3 week wait for a vet over an hour away. This product arrived in 4 days and by day 6 I could see the difference. Its worth a try.
