Absolutely excellent water butts.
Don’t be put off by some of the less than positive reviews. These are absolutely excellent water butts and great value for money. I’ve had one for many years and just bought another two. There are a few points you need to take into account though.Firstly, they may be delivered separately. For some reason the courier company split the consignment, with two drivers each delivering just one butt within an hour of each other. So, if only one arrives, be a bit patient before complaining about the missing one.Next the taps. These fit and work absolutely fine and don’t leak at all if you fit them correctly. Wrap the thread with plenty of PTFE tape – available for pennies from any DIY store or Amazon (it’ll take more than you might think but one roll of tape will do many taps) and then screw them in. Also, don’t miss out the rubber washers which were loose in the bottom of the butts I received. No leaks at all, and no upside down taps. The latest taps also have the standard hose fitting connector so you can clip a hose straight to the tap, No need for any messing around with Jubilee clips. My only niggle was the length of the pipe supplied with the water inlet diverter. This is far too short and will be useless for many installations, so you’ll probably need to buy some more – again your local DIY store or Amazon.Although the photos show the butts being filled from the side it always made more sense to me to fill them from the top (the small hole needs enlarging slightly) with the side holes being used either to connect the butts or as an overflow. Finally, great customer service. Any queries I had were dealt with promptly and politely.Highly recommended.PS Having now tried using hose connectors on the taps I found that the hose connectors did leak on both butts. However, this seems just to be a slight problem with the rubber sealing rings that are fitted by the manufacturer of the taps. I swapped these for new rings and they now work perfectly with no more leaks.

Leaky!
Arrived really quickly, boxed with all the bits needed to fit together and connect to downpipe and clear instructions. (apart from telling you how to remove/unscrew the bung at the bottom to fit the tap on but this was obvious really) You WILL need silicone or plumbers mait for this product. All the bits where there are holes, leak. The tap where it's screwed into the barrel, the bung at the top (for connecting barrels to each other), the connector pipe to link barrels together, the lot! (Onone barrel it was possible to stop the leak by turning another 1/2 turn, but then the tap pointed upwards)Other than sealing the leaks, they are well made barrels and stands, sturdy and they are both currently full without any sign on warping or instability. On the whole, very pleased.

Outstanding value for money and customer service.
Very good for the money. Arrive with all you need to install including stand and diverter kit. No leaking from any of the four. I have now ordered two sets and have run them off each other so that they overflow into another butt. When doing this, make sure the first butt is a bit higher than the second. I installed on bare earth and by the time the first butt was full, it subsided a little into the earth, so that initially second butt would not fill up. Had to transfer water from first butt into second to even them up enough to get the system working. Incorrect instructions sent with first set and missing tap on second, but on both occasions Customer Service at Evergreener was outstanding and fast. Would buy more of these. Total bargain.

Water conservation and drainage.
Purchased these two to add to the other four purchased over five years ago. Have all six inter connected to collect the water (total 600 litres) from the guttering on an outbuilding roof which is too far away from a drain or soakaway. It is amazing how quickly they refill. Great for watering the garden pots in the summer and I attach a seep hose to the final butt, which feeds into a nearby flowerbed by leaving the final tap open, in the winter. As well as collecting and conserving rainwater this system takes the water away from the building. This system works really well as it circulates the water through the six butts and stops the water sitting and getting stale. It was very easy to join all the butts together, but you may need extra joining kits. The five year old butts are still in as good condition as the new ones. Would certainly recommend this brand..

Good value as a double package
I don’t have much space near a suitable downpipe, so these 100 litre water butts are perfect. They’re neat and tidy to look at, and contained all the pieces to link them together and to connect to the downpipe. This is my bit towards saving water as well as giving my plants better quality water.

Good value
The two 100 litre butts enable large capacity without making the path around the house narrow. I have the butts connected to gutters serving about 35 sq metres of roof. I a very pleased since I find that it does not take much rain to completely fill both butts.Installation needs to be done carefully. Both butts need to be at the same level and the water catcher set at the right height so that the butts do not overflow. In my case this was particularity important as any overflow would go straight into a small flowerbed.Had I used the suggested method of joining the butts I would not have been able to position the butts tightly against each other. By using the method shown in the photo I was able to position the butts tightly into a corner and rainwater tap lower down the garden for convenience. In order to prevent the unused connections at the top of the butt leaking when full I had to apply bathroom sealant to the bungs.
