This is a great value 5 album cd featuring Chet Atkins at his very best and featuring some of the top "Nashville cats" musicians of the time.

Chet Atkins (Avid AMSC 1335) presents five albums, plus six bonus tracks, by this legendary guitarist (whose signature picking style was credited with creating the Nashville sound) in a variety of accompaniments and styles, from the mid-fifties to the early sixties. “At Home” offers some of his favourite tunes, in company with Floyd Cramer and drummer Buddy Harman, who reappear elsewhere. “Teensville” was aimed at the younger market, and includes Chet’s reworking of Django Reinhardt’s “Manoir de Mes Reves”. If the sleeve note of “Workshop” is to be believed, Chet recorded his part at home, while the remainder was cut at the studio. “Down Home” included saxophonist Boots Randolph, and there’s a suitably Latin flavour to “Caribbean Guitar”. It’s a well-mastered generous compilation which should appeal to country music and guitar fans alike.
