Treasury of Jewish Bedtime Stories

Classic Jewish Tales Based On True Stories
These are loosely based on true stories. The most relatable one was about 2 friends that ran an inn. They needed to go to a nearby town to restock their store of whisky and hilariously ended up drinking half of it on the way back. This is relatable for kids and teaches good morals and values B"H.

Great for Bed Time
Very short stories, but filled with vibrant pictures and meaningful message's. My toddler loves it.

Great bedtime book!
Great illustrations and stories. A little too advanced for my 5 and 4 year olds, but they still enjoy it!

Beautiful illustrations, timeless tales
Gorgeous artwork accompanies each short story (each story is two pages). I thought the stories would be longer, but the stories are still fantastic. Many of them are ones we've heard shared by our Rabbi, so we get to reinforce the messages as we read them to our kids at bedtime or on Shabbos.

Great collection
This is just what I wanted. A lot of my judaica books are a little too ‘touchy feely’ and sweet for my 6 year old son. I wanted something with great Yiddish stories that weren’t overly simplistic or moralizing. These are interesting, often funny, and thought provoking (1-2 page) stories accompanied by great illustrations. Very happy.

A wonderful staple for bedtimes
My son loves Shmuel Blitz's books. Some stories are still a bit over his head, but he likes the phrasing, language, and of course, the wonderful illustrations. The stories will be his favorites as he grows, and I like the citations provided for the stories as well (so adults can do more learning as well!).This book has more stories and is longer than the Bedtime Book of Jewish Values, which is another great favorite of my son's (he calls it his "special book").

Happy niece
Great book for my half Jewish niece.

Mixed up pages
I really like the stories and would rate it higher, but the pages aren’t in order at all. It just skips from page 16 to 32, you have to hunt through the book for the next page in the middle of the story.
