Culina black Titanium Kitchen Scissors

I've got several kitchen scissors and this is by far the best.It's built better and fitted better than my KitchenAid plus it has a better opener. It's sturdier and better made than a twice as expensive Kershaw that has a so-called chicken notch and more readily comes apart for cleaning. I do that specific job on chicken with a knife so don't care and notches just interfere with almost all other uses anyway.Comfortable and competent, highly recommended. Mine sit at the ready in a block with my full set of Japanese kitchen knives. Good tools make kitchen chores more tolerable.

AN OVERLOOKED NECESSITY

You get a great cut, good heft and balance, an ergonomic grip, and fine craftsmanship with this pair of Culina scissors. What more could you ask? Good value too!I love the grip: The rubbery plastic material feels so very good in my hand. The color combination is a bit different from what you see in the pictures. Mine is an eggshell white and purple. Not bad looking at all! I like it!I love the titanium-coating on the solid stainless steel blades: The titanium coating helps guard against corrosion and discoloration. The dark gray of the titanium is really sharp looking, to.There is a great balance for the nice large size of this pair of scissors. The good balance makes it easy to cut with them, and there is a very smooth motion to the scissor action. The blades are firmly attached to each other with a quality-made, large, nut, bolt and specialized washer. Blades have just the proper length and width to make clean cuts and provide a good fulcrum action for heavy-duty jobs.**I received a free sample product from Culina.

I agreed to review these kitchen scissors and didn't really think I would be that impressed. I was, however, in for a surprise. These beautifully designed, heavy duty, very sharp scissors put my general purpose ones to shame. These easily cut through paper, cardboard boxes and heavy duty plastic. The serrated teeth on the inside of the handles did open a small cap (on a bottle of lemon juice). If I had unshelled walnuts, I'd try as a nutcracker as mentioned elsewhere. I usually stick to plain old white or black utensils in my kitchen, and these scissors in black and white are very stylish. I must admit, however, that the white with violet, which I am reviewing, are quite striking. (I can't believe I'm saying this!) So if you are one who pays attention to color, this would be a super choice. I'm sure I'll find many other uses for these quality scissors to make my life a little bit easier.
