StomaSafe Plus Ostomy/Hernia Support Garment Light by TYTEX (Beige, S/M) 33.5" - 44" Hip Circumference

I'm new to wearing a urostomy pouch and the fact that it can be seen behind my clothing makes me very self-conscious. I'm a petite woman only 5 feet tall so my stoma is well above my belly button and inches above the waistband of my dress pants and blue jeans. I can see pouch crinkles and bulges under every type of top or dress I wear. This support garment smooths out the pouch edge crinkles and bulges and makes the pouch nearly invisible under any type of blouse or knit shirt. It also hides the drain at the bottom of the pouch because of the little "envelope" in the bottom of the garment. It's very easy to put on and take off. I wish the price was a little bit lower because I'd like to purchase several more of these. The only improvement I can suggest is the size of the opening in the underneath layer is not compatible with my one-piece Hollister urostomy bag, so it would be nice to have different size openings available. The garment as it is made my bag pucker up and stick straight out. I need a 3 inch opening, so I sewed a 3 inch circle with a sewing machine stretch stitch around the current opening. Then I trimmed the excess fabric close to the newly stitched circle. Works perfectly now and I couldn't be happier. It was well worth the extra work to have this confidence-boosting garment.

Doesn't bind or feel to tight

I ended up buying two of these, might get another depending, and they have helped tremendously in my comfort level and feeling OK to be a bit more active. Personally I found that I don't use it as perhaps intended, the hole thing just does not make sense to me, so I just use it with the hole off to the side. My preference for this would be for it to have a bit more of a wide elastic band at the top and bottom, and for the middle elastic strap to not be as tight as the top and bottom ones. I like the feeling of support when I have it 'curled up' under the bottom of the bag but it always feels a bit tighter around the middle. Still helps a lot as it is though and works better than another I tried that was more of a velcro wide belt type thing.

I never saw any reviews that mentioned what I thought might happen, I liked that the inner layer allowed for the pouch to go through allowing the garment to stay in place however the outer layer fits snug also not allowing for the pouch to expand as it fills therefore pushing the contents flat upwards toward the flange and stoma. Not good anytime a backup occurs. I found the Stomacloak to work much better for me. I gave that one 5 stars. Will still be going to a seamstress to have some items custom made to fit every one of my needs, a short skirt that can wrap around my abdomen with an elastic band like underwear to appear like a t-shirt under a t-shirt and a shower cap. Will also be addressing the swing of the pouch with the seamstress for solutions.

If it had a little more hold it would be a great product.

I have purchased two of these(albeit from 2 different Amazon sellers) and am getting ready to order a third so that I don't have to keep the wife washing them every other day! I treat them just like normal underclothes, changing them daily. This support does a wonderful job of keeping the bag from chafing your skin, adds support that exceeds a strap belt, and stops the bag from pooching out thereby giving you a slimmer look and the ability to wear a tighter fitting shirt/top. Also for those intimate times, by angling your bag sideways, this wrap completely conceals the bag in a narrow profile just by the using an additional fold on it. As for its breath-ability, I have worn this to work on 90 degree plus days with no sweat or body discomfort from it. The only negatives I have with it is that when I first purchased it, I found the instruction sheet totally confusing, and it took my wife and I about 10 minutes to finally figure it out. I also caution that I have seen where it could (but hasn't happened yet to me) catch on an object if you are pressed up against something as in leaning over a desk to reach an item, if you have a light enough shirt/top on. One disappointment that I have is that the seller of this item is claiming that they are not aware of it being available in different colors when in fact the actual article bag shows two other color options available, and those colors would be most welcome to a lot of customers like myself.

I have a permanent ostomy since 2014. I just found out about these wraps in the past I tried using belly bands but my pouch would leak cause of the pressure it wasn’t made for it. I love this wrap. I bought two so far. I bought a medium then I wanted a tighter one so I bought a small one too. I step into it pull it up, put my pouch through the hole pulled the second layer down then put the end of the pouch into the holding spot at the bottom. I Never had a problem with it, even with air in the bag and it ballooning no fear it going to bust, the price is great. I wish I had these a lot sooner thats for sure. I can wear short shirts and you will only see the bottom of the wrap.

Fits well and comfortable. You don’t have to put the bag in the hole to wear it.

Depuis deux ans que je recherche un soutien de poche de stomie, après en avoir essayé un certain nombre, je trouve ce bandeau absolument parfait, je peux faire à nouveau des activités, je le recommande fortement. Reçu aujourd'hui, commandé un deuxième. Merci d'un stomisé à vie, et qui reprend plaisir à refaire des activités impossibles depuis l'opération.

Comfortable stretchy fabric keeps my bag firmly in place without binding or putting any pressure on it. Also adds a a couple of layers of protection in case of a blowout. SO happy to find these, I bought four.

Too thin … not supportive at all… it’s like wearing a spank but made out of t-shirt material… not worth the money… 10$ maybe but even then I’d wonder… live and learn it was a 50$ lesson
