Danner Carbon Pond 1000

Perfect fit for our existing pond filters.

I was expecting a more dense fill, it is okay but seems thin, like a thin green scotch brite pad for kitchen use. I am not prolific in the media world so this may be the norm for the description?

This product is part of the overall filtration system that I've used successfully for over 10 years. The carbon helps filter out harmful chemicals in water (which should be pre-treated to remove chlorine and related chemicals added to city water) AND it creates a "trap" for beneficial bacteria/microbes that helps the environment of the pool to flourish. A MUST HAVE PRODUCT. I find you can reuse this for up to 8-10 weeks at a time. So good value for the money - you just have to flush it out a bit if it gets a little too "gunky" --that isn't as much of a problem if you use this with one or two of the pads. This carbon pad should be at the bottom of your filter stack....

I was in a hurry when ordering the filter, saw the photo and thought it was a super great deal. I should of looked closer at the details of the product (which is actually very weak). Who puts a photo of 3 filters when they are selling one? The product is good, being from Danner, but it is not called "Carbon Pond 1000" it is called "Pondmaster Carbon Coated Media". The price is not bad, although I have found it cheaper, but I just think they are being a little misleading.

Great piece

The distributor/dealer is misleading the consumer. When originally viewed three (3) 12x12" type filters as well as various other filter sizes are shown in the product image. What I received was one black carbon filter. This is only listed in the fine print. Shame on Amazon for permitting this! I would not have purchased this if I knew I was only receiving one of the three filters I needed!

Works but you must clean it weekly depending on how dirty your pond is. Eventually it gets so thin that you have to throw it away.
