I was looking to replace an old flashlight that I think I have had for decades. I just wanted something that was good-quality for an apartment, not a big, heavy-duty outdoor flashlight. This is perfect. It's not a mini-flashlight, but throws out a good amount of light, and it's not heavy at all, but it's also not flimsy (like the mini flashlights can be). Three features that I like: it won't roll away when put down on it's side, you can also stand it straight up, and the on-off switch on the back. Also, it's nice that you don't have to get unusually big batteries for it, it takes AAA batteries.

Very bright; easy to hold with built-in wrist strap. Hope the on/off switch holds up - It's one of those push buttons on the back end.

Nice flashlight for under $20. Brand name Stanley light. 350 lumens is bright. Runs on 4 AAA batteries which are included (energizers) and can power light for about 3 hours before changing batteries. High, low and strobe modes. 5 reviews all gave it 5 stars. I wanted a battery operated unit rather than rechargeable. Has a wrist strap but is rugged if dropped and water resistant. Only about 5" long and push button control on end. I like it and recommend it.

The life and therefore the brightness diminishes after relatively low usage. Would not recommend or purchase item again.
